Ive really gotten into the DeWalt Tough system boxes. The smaller size is perfect for the having a box with you when you go to a customers house. You can stack them and lock them, and they have a cart to transport multiple boxes if needed. Come in a bunch of sizes, and they have some organizer units too. Pricey to get into, but they are just awesome for having multiple specialized load outs on hand, and keeping the van organized.

You are right Any tradesmen worth his salt is always carry’s his bag of primary tools into a job site. The 90% rule matters. The only thing that your bag doesn’t fit are drills! Lol but plumbers don’t really use drills that often so. It’s not a big issue. But for me doing electrical and wood work, I always need my drills.

I'm gonna keep an eye out for a backpack, I think it would be easier to carry. I got a super sweet Klein tool pouch for a 5 gallon bucket and I do love it. I like how people think if your tools look good you don't use them. No!! That just means you don't know how to clean, oil, and take care of your tools. Also just keeping tools seperate, not clanging around in a lose bag, keeps wear to a minimum. It is amazing how much wear and rust comes from improper storage of tools.

I use a milwaukee packout back pack for all my electrical tools with a smaller "belt-able" pouch I store inside it and grab first that holds the most used tools. But for plumbing I'm currently using the milwaukee packout toolbox. If you didn't already figure it out I'm completely invested in the packout system. I think VETO makes better bags hands down but what I have does the job. As for the tools I carry, more than you carry, too much to be fair but it saves a lot of trips to the van. If I ever decide what I do is interesting enough to make videos about I'll do a tool tour too.

I don't have much money to hire a plumber so I went to Lowe's and bought a pvc cap to put on it. I am never satisfied with a tool carrying system, I’ve done them all, I liked the backpack thing for awhile but I ended up stuffing it with too much stuff. I went through three Klein backpacks and kept breaking the zippers, then I went to a CLC and that was great but it held sooo much stuff i could barely carry it. Now i just have an open top hard bottom Klein bag and its working out pretty good but may be time to move on to something else.
