Wanted to share what I normally have in my drum tech workbox for tour. These tools and items can vary depending on the band I'm working for but currently this is for my drum teching gig with Disturbed! #drumteck #disturbed #whatsinthebox

Can you do a day in the life vlog? Idk if you and Matt Horn are still on tour together? But it would be awesome to see. Appreciate all the workers in the industry and thank you for keeping the show rolling throughout the world. 🙏

Thank you very much for giving us an insight into the work backstage. I play electric guitar myself, so the "guitar world" would be more interesting for me personally, but I also watch Matt Horn's videos with great interest. After all, you don't normally get that kind of insight.

Drum key. Backup drum key. 2nd backup drum key in case the first backup fails. 4th backup in case I can't find the 3rd. 5th backup because it came free in a box of fruity pebbles. Now we're ready to rock.

Great channel. I toured in the early 2000s and am going back out again at the end of this year. Wondering what you have in your in ears? Is it just drums to make sure there are no issues? Full band mix so you can enjoy the show? Internal communications since you can't use the walkie? (PS you met my singer in Disturbed's tour bus in Raleigh, NC when the show got cancelled due to weather.)

Oh gotcha, small world! Depends what I’m doing for the band but if I’m only drum teching I like to have a solid mix of click and drums but also some guitar, bass and vocals to hear the whole band. And we also have a talkback system so all the crew can chat if needed during the show and have access to chatting with the band and them with us if needed.

Presumably from Mike himself or David has taken a few out of the Box. Matt Horn, the drum tech from Falling in Reverse, also makes videos like this and he often gets the drum sticks delivered to him.

There are a few ways to go about it, but starting with helping local or regional bands near where you live is a good start! Or working for a backline company.

I bought that myself and most of the supplies I bought myself. This was my workbox when I took the Marilyn Manson drum tech/playback gig!
