One of the longest running firearms in the Carey Concealment fleet, the CZ P09/P07 is undoubtedly one of the most reliable pistols I've ever shot. Enjoy the breakdown.

What people confuse is these are originally military guns and the trigger is intended to be long and heavy given the nature of their military use (as DA/SA should be). If you want a light trigger then go with a striker system gun which CZ also makes. It does not make sense to ask for a gun to be what it is not intended to be.
@EdFromTheBlock
@EdFromTheBlock Год назад
Precisely. Those who compare DA/SA hammer fired to SA SF are doing themselves no favors (with respect to the trigger). There's very few hammer fired DA/SA firearms in this price point with triggers that are anything to write home about.

the people who talk about the "triggers" are people who dont shoot the gun enough to justify the price of changing the trigger... to those people its a talking point... my gun has 2k rounds almost and its laughable when people shoot this after saying that gun sucks... they shut the hell up and they go out and look to buy one.... want to play around with a gun?? buy a glock waste all your money thats fine... want a gun that will go to he// and back then this is what you want..

The heavy trigger is essential to prevent negligent discharge! Under stress a stricker fired is way to easy to fire and you could never take that stray bullet back! If you’re that sensitive to nice trigger pick yourself up a sig p226 legion

Okay, I'm weird. I happen to find the P07/P09 trigger tolerable, probably because I haven't used a $1000 gun with a "Cajunized" trigger. I find it MUCH better than the M&P 2.0 Subcompact I had (THAT thing felt crunchy). Yeah, my wife's Sig P365XL is marginally smoother, maybe. But it's a striker gun, and I like the firm trigger as a "now I don't have to remember to sweep the safety off as I draw one-handed in a pinch." And, since I've worked with my hands for most of my life (mechanic, carpenter, stuff like that), I have moderate- to good hand strength.

We all have our opinions, and saying the trigger isn't great is fine. I, too, have shot wheel guns through the years, and that is probably why I don't think the trigger is bad. I also shoot 1911s, and to compare it against that isn't fair, and let be clear you didn't. Even a cheap 1911 has a better trigger than most other semi autos. Ole John Browning was a genius when he designed the 1911. I at was then range last week and made the mistake of shooting my Kimber Target ll before shooting my P07, and before getting the "trigger feel" back, shooting the P07, it kind of sucked. But after shooting a mag it wasn't bad again. LOL

Striker fired pistols are never as safe as pistols with thimb safeties, or DA/SA pustold with decockers. If you're tired, abd accidentally catch your shirt while holdyering your striker fired pistol, it will likely go off. The trigger blades are not meant to protect agaibst this. They're meant to ensure the pistol is drop safe. To my knowledge, Smith & Wesson M&P's are the only well known striker fired pistols, that have an option for a thumb safety.
