I hope it was just opened properly or carefully so that it would not be damaged so that you can still give it to the fans for further benefit. you are just teaching your son to curse things. this vlog is useless.
@@gizmoknow-how2022 ikr. Called the spider (fabric) and called the coil (rings). As a guy who’s big into subwoofers and building car audio systems, I got upset😂
I have two Paradigm Sub 12's. Single 12" driver, 3,400 Watt peak, 1,700 Watt RMS. I think they ran me about $2,600 back in 2012. But $5,000 is ridiculous for a 700 Watt sub.
Me: *has exams next week* Also me: I should watcha video that tells me what's inside a speaker even though it won't help me in exams or anything and it'll only be a waste of time
As a child we had a subwoofer with a big hole for ventilation where my hand did fit in. I was always afraid, that there's a spider in it. Seems I was right 😂
What you are taking apart is 1. The spider that's what holds the Coil in place so it wont slide around 2. The plastic thingy is called a coil the wider and longer it is the deeper the sound and 3 the last part was the motor what creates the electromagnetic current to power the driver
that sub is good from an sq view but as far as sound pressure and loudness i would easily overpower that sub driving by their house (actually shaking windows and knocking pictures off the wall)
Nice video! What guy doesn’t like seeing things destroyed But it was hard to watch you tear this woofer apart. Ok he’s some audio knowledge: the orange fabric you guys ripped is called a spider and the cylinder under it is called the voice coil and those rings around it are made of copper. ;)
For those who confused the coil in the speaker is connected to the wires. When electricity flows through it then moves itself away from the magnetic bowl hitting against a plastic layer making a soft or loud beat simply all in the electricity flows
Its not hitting any plastic layer bruh its moving up and down it can hit only the bottom of the magnet (pole piece) but that only happens if u overload it the cone is moving with coil cuz they are atached to eachother creating a sound
It's been a few years since I've watched this channel, and I was taken aback by how much Lincoln's voice changed. Even though he's a year younger than me, be sounds just as old, if not older.
I've been watching since the jaw breaker video. Seems so long ago! Its been great watching the channel grow and Lincoln and the others grow too. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see What's (IN)side the future!
