"It catches on this stuff, it's like fluff." And that, Jazza, is why you shouldn't wear gloves when working with rotary tools... Because they'll catch on the fibers in your gloves the same way and pull your entire hand in instead of just giving you a nick.
I think with a Dremel it’s probably ok, they don’t have anywhere near the same power. The glove would just instantly jam it all up if it did get caught. Do not use gloves with actual power tools though, I agree that’s one of the first things they teach people. I guess it’s instinctive to want protection but they have so much torque they’ll suck you in and not immediately jam up which is a recipe for disaster

Saffie Love he lives in Melbournes Gippsland area so him and I are safe as the fires have turned to a different direction and is burning that way. He will be okay hopefully as we are in the same area.
He has the dremel mounted in the worst possible way too. You never, ever ever ever ever, want the on/off switch of your power tool (especially one that imitates a table saw) to be behind the part that can literally cut off your fingers. Even a small dremel blade can cut through solid metal, hell, doctors used to use power tools much less strong than the current dremel lineup to cut through bone. If you do anything like this, mount it so that the dremel is facing away from you and the button is closer to you than the blade is, or at the very least mount it sideways so that you can have one hand touch the button without it being cut off
