What's it like to rent a scooter in Bali in 2023? Here's what I learned:
1. Rental shops are literally everywhere
2. Current prices are around $25 per week, cheaper for monthly rentals
3. They don't check for a license or ask for a deposit
4. Traffic is really bad at all times of the day
5. Police stops are uncommon (will update if I get stopped)
6. Use Grab or Gojek (Bali's Uber) if you aren't comfortable riding a scooter in SE Asia. The driver's are awesome.
