What's it like to be called out by an NHL head coach? 

I really liked Mike as an honest, hard working NHLer and things haven't changed with him as a commentator. He calls it as he sees it.

Captain John Tavares agreed with head coach Sheldon Keefe about “immature” play.

Sheldon Keefe is a drowning man. He’s throwing a “Hail Mary” to stall his firing.

Here’s a question for all the long suffering leaf fans. As of today, if you had to add three players without losing anyone, who would you add to make them cup winners? The next question is who is completely dispensable (3 again) to make sure that lack of motivation, concentration and subsequent mistakes are eliminated before the playoffs. Answers in a few words please.

Great analysis Gino & MJ: I agree wholeheartedly with the comments re: a base level of skill and competency being the expectation. This is where the Leafs fall short so often AND I predict it will be their downfall in round 1 of this year's playoffs when they get into a hard and physical 7 game battle with the Panthers or Bruins. Either of those teams will absolutely pummel the Leafs into the ice with their physicality. Re: Keefe's rant...TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE Sheldon!!!! You can't fix the critical problems you have on "D" (& have known about all season long BTW) and in the pipes WITH 10 GAMES LEFT!!!! My advice: get the golf clubs polished, knock the dirt, mud, and turf off the golf cleats because the Leafs will be teeing off in April!!!!

It’s obvious Keefe knows he’s out if he doesn’t win the cup this season and he’s going out doing whatever he feels is necessary to ignite his players. Sad thing is I never hear him taking any direct accountability for the team’s immature performance etc.

and how many more times is this winner of nothing in the NHL going to dump on the players for playing his style... as a leafs fan l want them to win, but l don't want them to go anywhere in the playoffs, cause if they do management will keep him, but l got no worries cause with this guy they won't... Vegas has been in the league 6-7 years and have more wins, more playoff success and they have changed coaches.. even the oilers canned theirs... when is it going to be enough? this team imo is slapped together, so unless a goalie stands on his head and steals the game or they outscore the other team, they will not win a 4 line rolling, defense playing like pros grind it out style of game

last night was exciting hockey. it's what happens when you got an offensively driven team. The Jets are the most boring team in the NHL. Just clean it up a bit, coach issue. Tell McCabe do play his position. Tell Nylander to cover if JT and Mcmahon are deep. Keefe is the biggest issue. This angry blame coach shit isn't a good look 2 weeks before playoffs.
