Cool, I'm fairly early to your party then so I'll give you your 68th subscriber, Me 👍. Nice coverage, I've seen the entire Peninsula via my very cool Ford SuperCruiser electric bicycle, from the base of Via Valmonte in Walteria nearly every where even down into San Pedro, many a Saturday "day" excursions down to the beach at Terranea Resort even. What a way to see all of what you say and see here by doing it on an electric bicycle. Ever want'a go, join me as fun in a complete different way awaits you.
Hi Tim. Thank you for your comment. You are correct, there is a landslide complex covering 5 specific areas on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. 4 of the 5 areas are in Rancho Palos Verdes in the Portuguese Bend area with devastating damage for some of the homeowners there. The 5th slide/land movement is happening in Rolling Hills. Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates often get swapped. Rolling Hills is a gated community and Rolling Hills Estates is not a gated community. Rolling Hills Estates - the subject of this video - is not experiencing the challenges associated with land movement at this time. That said, the area you are concerned about, Rolling Hills, IS experiencing challenges and Edison and SCE have shut off power and gas to this area causing the homeowners to have to find alternative ways to get energy. No mandatory or voluntary evacuations have been ordered and the city of Rolling Hills has not declared a state of emergency yet - as you know Rancho Palos Verdes has declared a state of emergency and there are voluntary evacuations in place. I will be doing a video on the landslide complex in the near future covering RPV and RH. I'm currently gathering information, interviewing neighbors and collecting footage of the areas affected by the land movement. Thank you for your comment.
