Good to see you back ~ I've missed your family and video's!! Obviously this was back in the summer because right now it is only about 7 degrees and we are covered in snow and ice, LOL

For those who don't know, the current gets so strong sometimes that those lobster trap buoys get pulled just under the surface of the water where you can't see them until it's too late ~ especially if your boat is traveling into the glare of the sun. It's just one of the hazards of cruising in an area where delicious seafood lives, haha... Cheers guys!

Glad you got the chance to see a little bit of New England, but you barely scratched the surface. You could spend several cruising seasons along our coastlines and still not see everything we have to offer. You came close to visiting the Downeast region of coastal Maine but didn't quite get far enough up the coast. The Downeast region is essentially the coastline of Washington County and is also known as "The Bold Coast." If we knew you were coming up this way, we would have invited you to one of our yacht club outings (Port and Starboard Yacht Club) out of Jonesport, Maine. If you come up this way again, stop and visit ports of Milbridge, Jonesport/Beals, Cutler Harbor, Machiasport, Lubec, and Eastport (to name a few). I featured some of these on my Shoestring Shipyard Sailing RU-vid channel and put them into a "Ports of Call" playlist. Please get in touch with me if you plan to come up this way in the future. Of course, we're near the border, so when this COVID thing wraps up, there is quite a bit of Atlantic Canada to visit and explore.

Beautiful scenery

🤔Nope those aren’t lobster pots, they’re lobster pot buoy markers, attached to the pot so you can find it. Each lobsterman has their own marker color to easily identify their pot. 🙃

Peak Island is very cool! We rented a golf cart last summer there. Casco Bay is a beautiful scenic place to sail. The lobster pots are a pain with autopilot. They really are everywhere…

One experience that totally left me speechless And though my words don’t come close to fully capturing the essence of this incredible phenomenon, this is definitely one of the best and most inspirational excerpts,especially for travel lovers!!!!!

My wife and I were born and raised in Maine we haven’t lived there in 20 plus years we are moving back to Freeport Maine in October. And the water is Cooled in the summertime
