Nakakatuwa at sobrang dami mong malalaman sa vlog ni Doc. Grade 11 ako nung nag-decide ako na Bs Pharmacy ang kukunin dahil maganda nga daw na pre-med pero nung napanuod ko yung vlog mo about sa pagpili ng pre-med, tama na wala naman pala talaga. Sundin mo ang gusto mo, now I am a 1st year college student at nursing ang kinukuha. Soon to be a doctor sa tulong ni God. Apart from the specialty that you will choose, most important is to choose the hospital where you will take your residency. Ang payo lang na maibibigay ko is prioritize your mental health and your growth as a physician. Residency training is known to be one of the toughest undertakings any physician will face. It is important that you remind yourself everyday how much you love your job no matter what. Also important to be in a training institution that allows you to flourish as a physician, trusts you to make your own decisions while they guide you properly. Yung hindi ka mahihirapang humingi ng tulong sa seniors mo, walang major communication barriers that can lead to potential life-threatening situations for your patients. In addition to this, importante yung mental readiness and emotional maturity mo pagpasok ng residency. Expect that you will be pushed way beyond your limits. Walang tulog, walang kain, aawayin ka pa ng pasyente and kamag-anak ng pasyente. Tapos may audit ka pa kinabukasan. So what kung wala kang tulog the next day di ba? Tuloy pa rin yang audit na yan and you have to deliver. Samahan mo na rin ng pagalit ng consultant pag di maayos ang referral mo... Pero in the end, ang sarap talaga ng feeling na matatapos na sa residency. It will be the most humbling learning experience that any physician will ever encounter. Iba pa rin ang nakapagtraining. And the best part is sarap ng feeling na lumelevel up ang sarili :)
Maraming nagcocomplain lalo na when they see doctors that are always on their phone during duties. Hindi nila alam na work related yun. I hope you can shine a light on those too. Minsan kasi hindi maintindihan ng patients and families especially sa public hospitals na essential yun. Feeling nila di sila pinapansin. Also sana pati yung SOP regarding sa hierarchy ng patients na dapat unahin. Most of the time kasi yung masakit yung may minor issues pa yung pinakademanding kesa sa mga injured or fatal that requires immediate assistance.
Yung ate ko nagdodoctor she's about to graduate this june 29 and start ng internship nya is july.Bihira na siya umuuwi,konti ang tulog,late kumain,nagtitiis ng ihi,namimiss yung family,wala sya everytime na may family gathering.So yah my point here is being a doctor is not a joke.Kung gusto mo talaga go for it!.Doctor is the job caring is the passion!.KUDOS to all DOCTORS AND DOCTORS TO BE

I'm also a Moonlighter Doctor before I decided to Enter Residency Training in Pediatrics. Before You decide Think and Think Many Times on what Field na Like mo Because Once You enter It's Very Difficult to Quit.kasi sayang ung Time and Effort mo once You There and also Decide on what Hospital of choice you want to Train Private or Government..Well of course in Government mas Mataas Ang salary and also mas exposed ka on many diverse cases ayun Lang limited Ang Pede mo Gawin Kasi nga knowing government mga indigent patients Ang 80-90% Ang patients mo.. wherein private paying patients sila Kaya idel lahat Ng management mo.. But still Guided Naman Kayo Ng Mga Specialist Consultants and also Kailangang mong mag aral Ng mag aral din pag ASA Residency Training ka.. So Good Luck and God bless sa mga Mag Re Residency Training.i
Yung stress sa Med, stress na nakakaiyak pero masaya parin haha 😂 lalo kapag yung puso mo andito talaga sa field na to💓 One thing is for sure, you really have to love what you do 😊 Para at the end of the day, ramdam mo na lahat worth it. Goodluck and God Bless fellow future MD's 😊

Inggit na inggit ako kase yung kurso ko, halos ikaw mag hahanap ng matututunan mo at magtuturo sa sarili mo. I don't want to mention my course so there's no conflict about it pero yun. Doc sorry to ask this I'm a fan 😊 lagi po ba kayong benign? Kpag duty? At kpag sa ER may trauma need ng blood transfusion eh it's urgent as in needed ASAP what blood type po ang I transfuse? I'm not studying to be a doctor but I'm also preparing for my boards (CPALE) and I really find your blogs entertaining and a way para hindi ko hawak yung phone ko while I study (wala, I just want to listen to your blogs while I study haha study buddy lang). try pulmo,kaya lang low tech mga vents dito..junior resident,senior resident,junior consultant,senior consultant,junior fellow,senior fellow..ksla nila madali yumaman ang dr,pahkagraduate aabutin ka pa nh 10 to 12 yrs bago kumita ng malaki..madame naman alalay ang doctor na magpapaalala kung sablay,hehe still a big responsibility.

Hi po doc! I want to pursue Pediatrics so bad pero sobrang hina ko talaga sa Math and number related stuff na may computations, kahit Grade 12 na ako. But I'm doing good in other subjects (maliban na lang kung may computation talaga) and I excel in English as well as Science (yung Science na walang computation nga lang) pero I'm scared na I cannot accomplish yung pagdating sa Math. Can you give me tips, if possible? I will really appreciate it.
