Hello, doc Aura!! I am currently reviewing for the NMAT right now and it’s crazy to think na I started following your journey when I was still in Senior High School, intern na ako ngayon 😭 Thank you for all those times na you’ve inspired and motivated me. This is just the beginning of a new journey to get that MD and hopefully, take my residency in the US just like you, PUHON. God bless you, doc Au!!
Hi doc. Will you consider working in the academe too? I believe you will be a really great prof to future physicians. So relatable and cool. Take care always doc Aura!
Hindi pa sumagi sa isip ko mag-academe. Calling din ang maging professor and yes ang laki ng impact nila sa students. I still remember all my profs na nagtyaga sakin. Hopefully one day magkaroon din ako ng ganung impact sa iba
@@AuraAzarcon maybe you can innovate family and community medicine in the Philippines. I know doc that you'll be a great impact whether inside or outside the classroom ❤️💜
I am not a doctor nor in the field of Science but watching your videos makes me understand in a deeper level the life of our modern heroes right now. Always excited for your new videos, Doc! Keep going 🥰🎉
Work hours and learning environment. Ahhh. Sana all talaga. Grabe I still don't know why we all have to go through that kind of torture before when there is a more humane way without sacrificing learning. Good luck doc! :)
I hoped doctor aura will noticed my concern. My experience after I hold my pee for 3hours. First - I experienced being not able to pee after I drink a lot of water then my legs and my arm feels something weird like my muscle or veins feels hurts also sometimes I feel weak. Second after I take antibiotics almost a week then I pee often but it depends on my water intake. 2 weeks after that, I experienced the same as always that i pee frequently also my veins or muscle sometimes it's hurts also I feel weak.
When Doc Aura said “If they only understood tagalog/filipino, I would have been more talkative. I would’ve been funnier and I would have expressed my feelings more” I felt that. It’s different po talaga Doc! A lot of peope here in the US noticed that I am so quiet, hmmm, If they only knew how loud and madaldal I am lol! Thank you for this vlog Doc. Ingat palagi 🥰
Omg doc! I can’t believe na before nung college pa ako (Marketing Management Graduate), pinapanood ko na videos mo. You inspired me to pursue med kahit non-premed natapos ko. Right now, Incoming 1st year med na po ako. I want to become like you! Thank you for being my role model. ❤️❤️❤️
Dooc, I remember na I’m in JHS (Grade 9) when I first watched ur vlogss and you’re one of the person talaga po who inspired me to purse medicine someday. Now, I’m currently a first year medtech student🥺, how timee fliees. Hopefully, makapag med din . It’s still a long way to go pa for mee. I miss you, Doc! Please continue vlogging. Stay safe po always!
I am a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Philippines, and I recently got my Canadian RN license and am now practicing as a nurse here in Canada. I found out about your video when I was still studying for the NCLEX-RN (Licensure exam here in Canada and in US). You are so full of positivity. I would watch your videos whenever I take breaks from studying. I even learned the Pomodoro technique from you. It worked perfectly for me. You really inspire many of us. Thank you so much.
Odd as it may sound, I am in the engineering field and occasionally post tutorial videos on youtube but am religiously following your vlog. You are such an inspiration to many, to never give up, to follow your dream. Power on Doc Aura, be safe always and install an alarm in your unit or carry a personal alarm with you. You are a good-looking young doctor, be careful of weird people, especially when the anti-Asian hate is on the rise due to covid.
Hi doc aura! I am a nursing graduate from PLM and also now here in the US! I love watching your videos and happy that you were able to fulfill your dreams to come here the US! It is such a great feeling when you see other people who are determined to reach for their goals and excel. More manifestations to come!!! From intramuros to the US, Dreams do come true. :)
Super proud of you Doc! Happy to see you settled in and finding your way. Did they need some extra hands/did you need to step in during the pandemic? Also, you’ve become plantita as well. Haha so cuuuute! 🪴
I was actually scheduled to do inpatient rotation right on the peak of COVID but yes they did ask some of our co-residents to step in. Thanks for noticing my plants!! 😊
Hey Doc! It's been a long time. I am so glad to hear from you again, especially that you are now talking about your residency training. I am looking forward to your success and information about med to learn from you.
Thank you Doc Aura, you’re so inspiring. I’m planning to match next year but I’ve been paralyzed with fear about residency. You seem to be enjoying it so much, I hope I can get into a great program like you :)
Hello doc. So inspiring to see you again. Parang last year lang when I was still unsure if makakpag med school ba and I even remember when I posted my situation on your FB group/page. Pero ngayon, 2nd year medstudent na. And you, my favorite medschool vlogger, is on your 2nd year in residency. God bless you always doc and keep inspiring us. 😊
Hey Aura! It's been a long time, but you look great! I'm glad to hear that you are doing well and that your residency is going great. 👍 Honestly, I'm not really surprised. You are a go getter I'm sure you will go a long way in life and in your career. I know it's a lot of work and challenges, but the biggest reward will be when you see the smiles from people you help get well. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! Take care and stay safe, my friend! 👍
You are most welcome! You know, you are the only one, out of all your PBB mates, I have continued to follow. Your life story and career is very interesting and intriguing to me. I will continue to follow you and pray for your great success. Stay safe and healthy, my friend! Hope you have today, Labor Day, off.🇵🇭 🙂🇺🇲
Hi doc!! You’re really becoming an inspiration for me to pursue medicine in the US. May I ask if you had any research/publications in your CV? Or a competitive edge you think you had for matching?
Intimidating consultants? Well, that is probably the difference in PI. And that is why all Filipinos are always being impressive because they are always well prepared when they refer to consultants in the US. I always get positive feedback from American patients telling how caring and smart ang mga Pinoy doctors are. God bless Doc Aura.
omg huhu.. nung nanonood ako sayo, i'm just a wandering grade 10 student, now I'm a 2nd year nursing student na😭. You're my inspiration talaga kaya ako nag med-related course❤️❤️
It is true that THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE MORE YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A LOT MORE TO KNOW. IT’S A NEVER ENDING LEARNING. Don’t stop learning new things. IN MY CASE, THE MORE I KNOW, THE MORE I KNOW NA BOBO PA RIN AKO NA KULANG PA RIN SA KAALAMAN.
I agree with what u said doc that it is a mortal sin to not overstay, like when I was in clerkship recently, one resident even told us that is it is our initiative to stay and to learn.I do agree with him but then it's not like it was our plan, COVID happened and it's the rule of IATF that duty is limited to 12 hours.and it's not like, the delivery happens exactly within our duty time, it sometimes happen after we are out.
It's okay to leave on time. Make sure to make the most out of your time when you're there.
GOODLUCK doc :)
doc parang kelan lang nag fly ka ppuntang US then lumipat sa apt mo and nag shopping ng mga kelangan sa bahay.. ngyon 2 yrs na pla?! congrats doc u have gone so far.. goodluck po sa career mo and thank you for your hardwork saving peoples lives. ❤️
Hi draaaa! I remember commenting back when I was still preparing for my entrance interview for medschool. Ngayon 3rd na ko gashhh ang bilis. You inspire me so much doccc laban lang tayo 🤗 😭
Please make more videos po. Even simple vlogs like going to the grocery or the movies.. or just you cooking or resting. Those show the real but simple life of being a resident physician. Hehe. Thanks po and stay safe! Will be watching out for more videos.🙏🙏🙏
I always enjoy watching your vlogs Doc. You've become one of my source of motivation. Looking forward to more vlogs. Keep safe there and God bless you. 😍🤩
Always been your fan doc!! I recently migrated here in the US too and I agree with everything you said. I am pre med too hehe any chance I could shadow you when your schedule is not so tight? 😁
Hello, Doctor Aura. So helpful your videos. I am taking this a my guide to know more how to fit in Family Medicine. By the way, do you have some videos related to Residency Benefits like Medical Insurance? Thanks in advance.
@@AuraAzarcon it’s a 3 year training scheme with rotations to different departments as well but 1.5 years be covering just OPD and the rest will be divided to different rotations
Hi Doc. I'm a g12 student po and I wanna pursue med despite of financial problem, my mom and I decided na magtrabaho muna ako after premed (nursing) to support my two younger siblings' studies Hindi ko na po tinuloy ang pag apply sa DOST Kasi sabi daw po kailangan pa magrender dito sa Philippines pero may nagsabi din po na after graduation Hindi daw po ako makapag abroad agad Kasi kailangan muna magserve dito sa Philippines kahit Hindi ka po scholar ng government, totoo po ba yun?
May tanong ako doc. As racism is on the rise in the US nowadays, have you ever experienced racism during your residency? If you did, how did you manage it?
May plano ako mag doctor. Tanong ko lang po, anong specialization sa Medicine na kung saan maeexpose ako sa mga mahihirap pati na rin sa mga slum areas? Gusto ko doctor ako ng mga mahihirap na Pilipino.
Hi doc! Are you planning to do fellowship after residency and continue your practice in the States? Or will you eventually come back to your home country?
Oh my.this makes me want to become family med!I am still thinking what to specialize.I am sure I will not go to surg and ob.I am already done with clerkship, yet I changed what I initially planned. Is this ok po doc?
