What's New in Media Composer 2022.10 

Thank you for finally updating the relink windows, hoping it works well! I hope we get a revamp of the effects and color panels next!

Avid adding quality of life features like that is nice. Adobe (Premiere) does have some stuff that just make sense and it’s nice to see Avid getting inspired and influenced by the competition. The new relink system for example is much appreciated, and the export to ProTools function, just like Premiere does with Audition, is gonna be a huge time saver for some workflows. I like this new direction ! (Obligatory PS: please fix Titler+…)

Please let us keep the effect editor window (or speed editor) open at all times. And basic color work should be simplified.

@AVID where is the promised fix for the GUI bug where floating windows still take visual & active priority over the rest of the docked interface & also other non AVID application windows? You said you were aware of this back in July? How is this still not fixed. It's a massive pain in the ass & this was voiced by multiple Editors as impacting their daily workflow. Thankful for the keyboard shortcuts to toggle docked panels & horizontally tabbed Bins. Took a decade to get this since horizontal tabbed Bins were introduced.... but finally here at least.

Hello i have a question about the new avid that i just upgraded to. On my old avid i could grab the color correction filter and grab it and drop it on to a video clip and it would automatically auto black auto contrast and auto balance, automatically everytime. And then i would go and adjust the video file from there, it seemed to work great for me. How do i change it to do this? PLease help thanks

Please, please, pretty please...add a temperature bar in Color Correction. Thank you for the new Relink!!!

So I was really excited about the new relink feature but I can't get it to work with external hard drives. On my Mac all I can see is the root folder COMPUTER so the only folders I can link to are local ones. All my footage is on an external drive, has anyone managed to link to external folders??

Dear AVID MEDIA COMPOSER, You must do better, because you still don't have M1 support, you must FIX the Apple Prores RAW Bug, the TITLER+ is a total disaster and having a re-linking fonction when your competition had that fonction for years it's unacceptable. DO BETTER AVID !!!!

God no please make the noob mode a switch. Not that's it's a bad thing but please make it possible to get rid of it.
