Hey Trimble, what about fixing scan cleaning proccess finally ?? If I want to get rid of parasite points like mirrors prior to my registration then the way it works now is - create sampled scan with step set to 1 of the single scan station, switch to production mode, using segmentation tool segment out the parasite points, select them and then use "delete from TZF scan" option.... switch back to registration mode, delete sampled scan.... Then do this for every single station that needs cleaning.... :-O This is WAY too long and complicated proccess comparing to other softwares as Cyclone for example. Can you fix this in one of the next versions please ??? It's very crucial in my opinion and if I was about to decide which software to buy for my company then this would definitely be a dealbreaker for TRW....
Couldn't agree more with the above post. It should be so much easier than it currently is. I really enjoy using Realworks on the whole, but the existing process seems so convoluted. I have often resorted to using external software for this, which is not the preferred solution. The ability to remove erroneous data such as stray points would also be very useful to eliminate the need for any alternative software.
Not a direct export like a plugin but we do have common exports such as DWG and DXF. I'm not a Revit expert but I believe it is a bit picky about the files it imports so some objects may not come in correctly. In this case you may need to export out a mesh or even small point cloud file using E57 or RCP if you have ReCAP on your PC. Then model the object directly in Revit.
Realworks clashes and shuts down when I perform a 3D inspection using the 3D Inspection tool. Tried several times with different mesh and different poincloud, same result each time. It just shuts down. Please advise. Thanks!
I'm not able to reproduce this on my PC. Maybe the mesh is too big? You can try using a smaller mesh. Probably best to reach out to your local Trimble dealer to check the specific dataset you are using.
