@@davedelcambre7760 it's unique due to its chassis design and suspension. Although limited on battery size in stock compartments. Aluminum tie rods and toe links are needed. Replacement rear drive cups. I had an 18 tooth pinion and tried a 23, I think it gets a little too got on 22 for bashing around. Stock tires are decent, but will explode above 50mph. I hit 51 with 18 pinion, stock spur and stock tires. One soon blew after that run on pavement. I have a limiting strap OVER the rest traxxas Aluminum after market brace from rocker to rock, my rear rockers are also updated to the the got racing blue ones. Tie rod end links still get worn out faster under the rear rockers and I have zip ties there to help them stay in place. I haven't had the rear steel drive shaft exit the cup since and I have 3 sets of packs though it now. I'll be putting the 18 pinion back in it or maybe a 20 to have a middle ground. Mine practically does standing back flips with the esc all the way on 9 punch level. Keep in mind I font have the stock electronics in it. It's the arrma infraction system, motor and esc. 2200kv compared to 2050kv motor now. I have random Aluminum parts scattered throughout, some help, some are for looks.

@Lockdown spinning Besides open a can of worms, get the Tekno driveshafts for the Slash 4x4. front & rear. Otherwise ONLY upgrade what you break. It can become a money pit real fast.

I got one last month and they are a blast. Just keep in mind you're probably going to need to spend about $200-$300 in upgrades relativity early on compared to other r/cs due to the wheels putting so much stress on the servos and toe links. And keep in mind the amount of parts on a E-Revo 2.0 compared to something like a Rustler 4x4 vxl is significant. I wouldn't own an E-Revo 2.0 unless it's going to be your main R/C it requires a lot of attention and money. My wallet would be a lot happier if I just went with the lighter/smaller rustler 4x4 vxl.

Joshua....the newer eRevo’s that Traxxas is now shipping have upgraded toe links that are thicker, stronger and with longer rod ends. The new part numbers can be seen on the schematic drawings. Plus, there’s lots of vids of people adding limiting straps on the rear suspension which seems to resolve the problem of the rod ends coming out before the tie rod change by Traxxas. Aside from that, there’s lots of good options for servo upgrades that can be bought for under $100 for both.

Just don’t make it a Traxxas.

Because they break. Because they are over marketed and over priced. Because they kill the industry with their stupid ‘sue everyone who beats us’ mentality rather than designing cars that are better. They are a cancer of the RC world...let’s all go and buy one.

Traxxas is not the "bad guy" - but it would seem that some die hard RC enthusiasts ( from my minimal experience reading forum posts) feel compelled to construct this ongoing narrative that Traxxas is somehow evil and wants to destroy competition. The reality is, they're just super f***ing competitive, lol and their legal team knows wtf is up. Think of it like this ... Traxxas is the ducati of the RC world. *Exotic looks that make us drool. *More expensive than similar models. *Awesome design innovation (just look at the Revo 2.0 inside!!!) * * * Yes, just like a Duc, they break easily, -mostly just when abused or driven poorly though (cough!) lol * Copy their design, and they'll sue the crap outa you. Use their name without permission, and they'll likely sue you. Lol. Just bare in mind guys, They're protecting their designs and their patents. 1. Kids and idealist fans don't understand that they're a business like any other, and they look after their assets and their bottom line. 2. Lastly, the notion that they advertise too much is ironic. Their so-called "over-marketing" might seem annoying to RC veterans, but its also effective enough to reach guys like me from multiple sources of media. Because of their popularity, you can go to any hobby shop within 10 miles of any major city and get just about any part for a Traxxas you need. Or worste case, having it shipped it 2 days. Plenty of other brands I like too. They didn't sue me, so I got no beef with em. Plus they're the most neon color of all the competition. And everyone know neon colors are way faster. Derp.

I was away for 30years and bought a rustler vxl a couple years ago. It’s pretty awesome. I have definitely doubled the cost of it buying new parts to replace broken ones and new batteries and a new charger and metal drive shafts and a whole host of other parts but it really is awesome. We never really grow up we just get deeper pockets and more expensive tastes. I’m ready for the e revo because they don’t make the e maxx anymore:(

I got mine second hand. The E-Revo needs mods out the box, but they're a lot of fun.

AMain Hobbies I have both new rods and ends for the front suspension but just new rod ends for the toe link rear - y'know, I honestly can't even remember what's new and what's left over from stock lol. All I know is that the majority of the damage incurred in it's first week was a chain reaction to the suspension rods pulling out when jumping and numerous rolls down grassy nulls lol. Endos were common due to me underestimating how stupid fast the thing is and panic breaking lol. Now my latest issue is the squeeks. Thinking it's bearings or the rear drive linkages (dark metal rods powering each wheel. Any recommendations for lube / greese? You gota do a follow up man. So much more to this thing. Sorta like buying a sports car or sport bike lol.

They have to mount a GoPro on top in order for you to get an actual idea the car would be gone in out of sight before it was even at half throttle

AMain Hobbies the rods coming out of the rod ends from stripping was catalyst to more damaged parts. As soon as I replaced the stripped end, no more issues landing jumps. Also adjusting ride height and softening the shocks. I heard that super glue helps the rod ends stay put a little. Haven't tried that yet lol.

If you're talking about suspension parts breaking, replace them with ones from RPM to improve durability. The difference is night and day.

None of them are mate, my arrma vehicles break my traxxas vehicles break and occasionally my Tekno You can’t go wrong tho with any of them Personally I prefer my 2.0 ERevo over my outcast 6s Mad selection these days it’s mint🔥

AMain Hobbies this would be my first lipo RC, so bear with me. I was under the assumption that the 25 C rating of the Traxxas batteries would not as perform well as I another battery with a 50 + C rating

Thats good news, I stopped driving my erevo because the rear diff always failed after two outings. Got to expensive to repair.

Sometimes the inside rear tire will lift up when corning hard and it's mainly because the front suspension compresses so much during the weight transfer, that the rear inside unloads and lifts. Basically the front outside of the vehicle becomes heavy and the rear inside of the vehicle becomes lightweight. Hope this helps! -Brett

MASON WINKLER I had a arrma bls and I sold it, and looking back it was just a waste of money, cause parts where expensive and hard to get. I haven’t been able to drive a traxxas, but as far as I have seen parts are good available and very durable!

Caspar Hendriksen this is why I like traxxas also. Ive owned all kinds of RC, HPI, Arrma, Associated, Kyosho, Traxxas. and by far traxxas has the easiest cheapest and plentiful parts access available. Sure my traxxas RC might break a bit more then the Arrma Senton 6s I've got but they are always ready to run on the shelf where some of my vehicles are sitting for months waiting for parts

I actually picked one up(early access) and have bashed for 2 weeks no breakage on 4s. I hope it does not break since there are none of the new parts available yet lol. Got mine for 550.

The servos in the demo I ran were already breaking when I took it out. It was the first day they had it & I was the 4th guy to take it out.

Bryan Miranda Its too early to tell until the Revo is out for a couple weeks and see what people say. I like the car, but am weary of the REVO just because I have heard all the stories of them braking all the time back in the past. Hopefully the upgrades they made in the new version will hold up. But my concern is having to spend another $80 - $100 on servos to work those massive tires. The Servos that they come with it stock are a ones that do just enough to get it going out of the box. But that seems to be the trend on a lot of RC’s. I have a Kraton that I love but even that Servo crapped out on me the first 2 weeks I had it. The good thing is I only have to replace one servo since it only has one. But to have to replace 2 would kind of suck. Lol. But as for the rest of my Kraton I have been really pleased with. Seems to hold up really well. What RC’s are you trying to decide between?

Is the fan making any ticking or strange noises or is it just a loud fan? I kind of remember our fan being pretty loud as well, but it's probably ok as long as it still sound like a fan. -Brett

Pro-Line offers a few bodies for the E-Revo 2.0, but they're about it. The body is compatible with the stock cage and latch system though, so that stays the same. You would just transfer those parts from the stock body to the new body once painted.
