The generator is much more efficient than lithium in my opinion! I calculated if I can only consume 3/4 of tank of gas, I can run AC for over 150 hours and super super quiet!😊 love my Beyond❤
That's a good point, can't argue that one, I think battery power works well for folks who want total silence overnight etc...I have both, however on my next van I will probably just go with batteries and 2 alternators...
And ridiculously overpriced for what it is. If you look at the MSRP sheet for a coachman, they’re getting $23,000 for a lithium system that may only be 5 to 7000 in cost.
I couldn't disagree more. I'd much rather have the 1260amp battery, high capacity alternator, at least 600 watts of solar, gasoline fueled heat and hot water sourced from the chassis fuel tank... and delete the generator and propane entirely. These generators aren't very reliable and having to fill propane is another inconvenience I don't want to deal with. The chassis tank can easily be topped off before extended boondocking...it's so much more convenient and no generator noise and pollution!
Thanks, its actually always fun doing these with Nick because we're both nerds about vans...we just come from two sometimes different point of views...I think most people benefit from that, although some hate it 🤣 so far as the choice between Nova and Beyond I would say see them in person and decide exactly what works best for you...
Are all four available because no one is buying them? 😆. Boy have things changed! J/K. If I were buying an American Class B van it would hands down be a Coachmen Beyond. Their quality, service, and dedication to build and listen to their customers is definitely a top priority.
😁 for sure it's a buyers market these days...however for the folks who have planned to do this for years Coachmen vans don't sit around too long...and yeah I look at how all the builders treat their customers, coachmen is number one...
Thank you for the review. I wish they made a model with a passenger seat right behind the driver's seat (like in the Revel and Storyteller Overland) so my dog could be behind the driver...
I think I could be very happy with any one of these! Question: When you are showing the insides of the units, it would be wonderful if you could also point out if there is a storage cubby/space/slot for any shoes when you come in through the sliding door and if there is a space/slot/cupboard for a small trash can/bag. Thanks for your helpful videos!
Yes on the trash can Wendy...we may have just gone a little fast on this video because we were looking at all 3 floor plans...so far as the storage space for shoes, I would say Coachmen is aware of that request and working on a solution...
Hi Wendy, we have a 22 Coachmen Beyond 22D. My solution to the shoe storage issue , I use a zippered LLBean nylon tote bag for my shoes and one for my husband’s extra shoes. We place the tote bags behind the driver’s front seat, as well as our telescopic ladder. We place wet shoes on the side door entrance step, when dry we place them on the floor between the front seats. Not a perfect solution, but it works in the small space of a Class B.
Hi Hank, my husband and I have watched you for years. Thanks for all the reviews. We purchased our 22 Coachmen Beyond 22D Li3 after watching your videos. I like the changes in the 2024 model. The extra cabinet added to the kitchen counter and the larger sink are nice. I wish that we had the combo microwave/air fryer. My husband added a second Lagun table where Coachmen added theirs. He also fabricated a wooden support to convert the twin benches into a queen bed- the wood support slides under one bench cushion for storage. QUESTION: Do you know the name of the company that fabricated the screen door on the sliding door opening? Our screen has strings that are shredding and breaking and now the screen is useless. We would like to repair it if possible. Any suggestions will be appreciated. QUESTION: Has Coachmen considered installing a separate water tap for filtered cold water? A nice addition when water quality is questionable.
You can get a generator and a smaller 320AH lithium battery. It will still have the 2,000 watt inverter. That's the new hybrid version Coachmen has come out with. It's a really nice option.
I have to ask. These vans all appear to have halogen headlamps. When did Coachmen stop spec'ing those in their builds? Or did they have to drop the feature to get vans from Ford due to supply constraints? That's a big takeaway if you ask me.
Hank you have been persuasive in me considering the rear bath. I'm not a big eater and don't need too much room to cook. The microwave is great. Was wondering if the rear baths are the same size in the other class B vans. Also how comfortable are the sofas for long periods of relaxing? Are there any class B rear baths with twin sofas that have an adjustable headrest, back?
I would never buy an expensive van like this with cheap halogen headlights. That's an absolute deal breaker for me. These vans are too expensive not to have LED lighting, plus it's just better lighting which improves driving safety.
😮😮😮😮 hey brother are those the only floor plans or they can build something diferent??? I Don't want quite an Rv I need more like a passinger van for 4 passingers with a tall fixed bed with gallery underneath and a toilet and medium fridge No kitchen
Let the dealer talk.... Don't care whether the Amish like Florida. So many interruptions that the dealer might forget to mention something. Stop talking, please.
There are many other boring RV shows that you can watch. No need to make that comment here. Nick and Hank are the best. It’s very refreshing. Love from 🇨🇦
Exactly! I couldn’t even watch more than 10 minutes because the man showing the van was continuously being interrupted by the other guy. Frustrating as heck. Probably won’t watch StrangerPalooza again. I have several channels that I watch that give great information to help me make up my mind. They give the RV information and show the RV’s with little chaotic constant chatter. I was just giving someone new a chance. And, the fact that the lady who posted this feedback was smart mouthed back to by a StrangerPalooza person is horrendous. That behavior will not grow your channel. Something you may want to think about. I know I won’t be referring anyone to come get information from this channel.
OHHHHHH PEOPLE!!! If you seriously didn’t like this why take the time to make a comment. You are not going to change Hank or Nick by making these comments. These two are the reason I plan on buying a Coachmen and if I go new I plan on traveling from Texas to deal with Nick!!!!
