Do pop tops let heat in when it’s hot out and the AC is running? Or cold when it’s cold out and the heat is running? And losing watts of solar power with the pop top make that much of a difference?
Hi! Since you have one would you mind answering my questions. Been trying to find out how you protect the bathroom window from the shower water? Since the curtain doesn't go all the way around doesn't the window fill up w water ? Also is there a dry toilet paper holder ? Really like this van 😊
Hi Jon, is there a good way to contact you to hear about your experience if you feel comfortable sharing? I have one pre-ordered and I don’t know anybody who has received theirs yet so congratulations and I hope you’re enjoying it!
@@kirbykracklemusic You may have heard by now, but production has stopped and orders are being canceled. Something with an electrical system problem that they aren't able to resolve. I've heard three different stories about why they can't fill the order from the RT rep, the dealership, and the RT cust svc person, including that there's a problem with the roof of the factory--what?? Looking at a Storyteller now.
Call RT and ask them if you have a recall on an electrical part--the Rep told me that there's a recall in the works. Don't fall for excuses. Get it in writing if they tell you there's no problem.
It also has dimmers!! Love that and a counter top extension you can pull out. Just wonder about the bathroom window how is it protected from the shower water if the curtain doesn't go around all the way? Can't wait to see it on the Ford it looks amazing.
So you're calling this a 2025, but the chassis is 2024, and they've not produced the 2025 model yet. Production has stopped due to an issue with an electrical system that they're not able to resolve and that will necessitate a recall on some electrical part. Several different stories from different sources. It's too bad--they sell a nearly identical unit in Europe, the James Cook. Probably with far fewer toxic fumes and materials. Why can't we have nice things?
La Mesa RV in San Diego was offering it for 156k for the non-poptop. Add around 11k for the poptop. But production has ceased, so they're not selling them.
Prices can fluctuate over time. We would love to chat with you about it. Give us a ring at 352-337-0776 and ask for Austin or email him at austin@sunshinestatervs. com and he would love to help you out!
I would use the propane for the outdoor barbecue as described in the video and an electric cooktop for inside. The portable induction cooktops are cheap, just buy one and use it and the propane can be a backup. With 4 season camping, when daylight hours are too low for solar in the winter the propane will be handy.
