Many of you have been asking about some of the tools I have been using during #CustomPCBuild / #PCrepair so I decided to make a #TEXtips / #TechTip video about Electric Screwdrivers. Let me know the next group of product you want to see covered. Or if you like me to go into depth more specifically on one of these. #DIY

I got curious about the snap on screw drivers these days after watching this video so I went online and found the red one as a brushless model with the toggle switch !

Yeah they finally updated them! Watch out though it's got some power compared to the old lil guy. Probably use one click less on the torque. It is also a bit bigger/heavier so depending on your use you may still prefer the older smaller model like the CTS661 or CTS725

I appreciate the update BTW, hopefully the video was helpful / interesting.

If you would stop throwing everything around, and give the actual part number you would know, if you have 1/4 in drive, with the hex chuck, versus the actual screwdriver. CTS861, and Wiha makes excellent bit holder and bits , I cant make it through your adderall fueled video. You can’t even stay on topic.

Sadly no Adderall. I do go over some wiha bits and extensions in some other videos on other products. As for the CTS861 It could also be (and actually was the case) that it was not made/available yet. Video released May 2021 and was recorded March 2021. I purchased mine April 2022, availability looks to have started January 2022 (maybe be a bit off).

Bosch uses the blue for their professional range hence the extra features and the green is for their consumer/DIY range

Yes and this is for sure a "consumer" tool. There is however nothing like it in anyone's professional range from what I've seen. In the US it's rebranded as a Dremel.

Just for reference, what you keep referring to as a chuck is called a clutch.A chuck is the part that physically holds the bit (jaws or collar/collet). I dont understand why having a clutch is so important to you when you say that you wont put screws in with electric drivers though, only take them out. Or maybe I misunderstood?

Thanks for the clarification there. I run into stuff like than when I make off the cuff videos. Your feedback is appreciated. I don't put screws into using the electric screwdrivers that are self tapping areas or softer metals like on radiators. It's usually metal into plastic for sel tapping on PC's like mounting fans. This would be fine the first time but ever time after that you're going to not want to re-tap as soon there won't be any plastic left. The other place is radiators since many of the AIO/CLC units are aluminum and are just tapped. It's far too easy to cross thread or over tighten them since you using steel screws. Higher end rads are usually copper or brass. Otherwise they make everything else way faster; case panels, motherboard mounting, drive mounting. The list goes on.

I couldn’t handle the video and thank you, I was confused with this guys narration, he doesn’t give the correct product number, or know the proper terminology and the clutch changes speeds, how did he not make that connection? Just seems like an adderall fueled, “know it all”

I can't believe people buy snap on electronics.they are overpriced crap.habor freight got better cordless tools than snap on 💯 and I consider harbor freight cordless tools bad quality and outdated.
@TheProfosist
@TheProfosist Год назад
Find me a Harbor Freight with a toggle trigger and we'll start talking. Also they used to have a really great 12v line with their earthquake XT. Do you see where that is now? Completely unavailable! Glad I didn't buy into that system. Tools were quality though many came from the same factories as Milwaukee and Snap-On, just price adjusted on features.
