The Milwaukee 1/4 inch hex screwdriver was not brushless (fuel). The item tested was the older model. I still enjoyed it.

Thanks for pointing out the clutch on the tools. To many techs strip out screws by not stopping in time. They also use impact guns that wollow out screws in sheet metal and plastics.

New sub! Great video review. Thanks for the info and comparison of all the screw guns. I have worked at Milwaukee Tools distribution center for 13 years, and I got the 2401 about 5 years ago, and it's my go to for around the house minor duty. I just purchased the installation driver last week and haven't had the chance to use it yet. May get some of my scrap wood and give it a go until a project comes up. 😂

I work in the car audio industry and I all my power tools in milwaukee. But I do have two of those snap on screw guns because I prefer the dual action trigger. They are pretty much the only drills I use while taking panels off and such. Those two are the only power tools I have from snap on

I have the first gen snap on have used it for a few years with no problems. Do a lot of dash work. But I think I’m gonna pick up that first gen Milwaukee too I like the size of it.

The installation driver is meant to be held with your grip higher up the stalk so your thumb can easily slide over the forward/back buttons. With that said... I have that drill and at this point, it still does not feel natural to hold it that way but I also do not use it daily. I imagine that with time, it would feel attached to the hand nicely.

The Milwaukee 4 in 1 is actually a 5 in one you can put a bit on the tool with no attachments installed the right angle can take a bit without an attachment as well @Rustbelt Mechanic

I have that Milwaukee installation drill, it’s freaking awesome! Note, I use it for woodworking not automotive use . But I freakin love it ! I will say the reverse switch on top is awkward tho !

I have the Milwaukee 2401 and I like it a lot. I passed on the install driver due to the forward/reverse switch on top. I also have the Bosch brushless "Chameleon" install driver, the older brushless hex driver, and the older brushed one. I really like them, and all of them added up together cost me about what one of the brushless Snap-On drivers would. No thanks.

Man i love my Mac one. I got rid of my snapon. 14.4 batteries have crapped out too often for me personally. The Mac light comes on better and brighter than the Milwaukee and Snapon. Just my preference. Price point is awesome and my dealer always makes it right for me, not everyone has the same experience.

Dones Anewishki I do diesel, have ingersoll, Chicago pneumatic, snap on, and milwaukee. I can’t tell a difference in power, speed, or durability. The snap on stuff is good but for the money I would go with the other brands

I have looked everywhere and can’t find an answer to save my life. The only thing keeping me from switching to Milwaukee screw gun from snap on is I can’t find if the Milwaukee screw gun head locks in place to break bolts loose and/or tighten once the bolt it drove down. The snap on you can do that and it’s a huge advantage over other brands but I’m tired of paying that ridiculous premium price. Any help is much appreciated!

Forgot to say thanks for the reply! I ended up going with the 2402-22 kit and it works phenomenal. It’s extremely similar to the snap on screw gun but better in my opinion. $180 for the kit through Home Depot. Thanks again!

One thing I hate about the Milwaukee 4 in 1 is the digital forward and reverse button wish they would of left the mechanical detent switch @Rustbelt Mechanic

If you look at the New Product Symposium footage, it's supposed to be held higher than a normal drill/driver, which probably affected the choice to move the control to the top.

@@connors.1077 still has nothing to do with it being a digital annoyins that feature should of never been turned digital or moved to the top and if it being held higher was the case then would make more sense to move the switch down the tool not were you had to push the top to use it

I talked to my Snap-on dealer he said they can’t use the paddle trigger on the brushless tools due to the design of brushless motors. That’s what sets them apart

Personally have just never used or had anyone near me use dewalt in the shop setting. Just from what I’ve seen with history in the batteries and tool warranty is why I keep using Milwaukee

More comparable would be the Milwaukee hex impact driver not the screw gun

That screw test is only testing the ability to drive a screw for 1.5". You should have turned the 2x4 on it's side so you'd have to drive it through the full 3.5" I sent my low torque 3/8" M18 impact in twice for warranty. The first time they sent me a new one. The second time they upgraded me to a mid-torque, but I still only had the 2.0 ah batteries, and those severely limit the power.

The sad thing is you can’t even say the Milwaukee is cheaper because it’s made in China....both are 🙈. We seriously need to get together as an industry and start voting with our wallets. For the price of the new ct9075 kit you can buy a Milwaukee 2767 high torque plus BOTH 3/8 and 1/2 Milwaukee stubby impacts. That’s 3 tools and 6 batteries for the price of 1 snap on impact and 2 batteries

I will NEVER buy a Milwaukee tool again after my impact wrench stopped working 4 months after purchase. A 10 plus week turn around on warranty work for a tool that someone uses everyday is unacceptable. SnapOn you “pay” more up front BUT you have the warranty AND the tool truck. If your Snappy breaks you get a replacement right away.
