What's the best muzzle brake on the market for recoil and muzzle rise control? Well lets find out.
We test the following brakes for recoil on the recoil sled and through the scope for recoil and muzzle rise control:

Nice, that’s an awesome brake. With the TMB the 6BR looked like a 22lr recoiling. It’s good to see actual quantitative testing done instead of just “recoil feels lighter” testing done on most other videos.

Much less with barreled action even if it’s the same rifle. Weight plays a big part.

i turn the shoulder to 1 inch for .92 inches, but yes its hard to make something thats not crazy big but fits over a 1.25 straight barrel. one day we will have something thats forward of the muzzle but still has the benefits of the tmb and the weight being at the muzzle where you want it.

The hudu brake from southern precision tooling is phenomenal, reduces recoil from 80-87%. I love them, not the cheapest on the market but well worth their cost

I have to disagree, I have one on my 300wm Remington 700 and cva cascade.308 and it’s awesome to be able to pull the trigger on the 300wm and actually watch the bullet hit the paper at 300yards.

Thanks for this video,it's very informative. However just before watching your video iwatched the one from ultimate reloader....their numbers are very different. The best result the had was just under 50% recoil reduction. So i am a little puzzled ...which one is correct?

It depends on the weight of the rifle and the caliber. Heavier rifle with smaller caliber and the more recoil reduction you’ll have, lighter rifle with bigger, the less you’ll have.

Were the action weights equalized when comparing the brakes? With weight being a big part of recoil a few ounces difference on an action can make a significant difference.

Thanks for doing all the work and great video but there's so little difference in them all 20 percent less with the best one so I'mma get the cheapest around 60 percent less recoil because a person actually shooting the gun can't tell the difference between them anyway

Do you have any noise levels at the shooter comparing the brakes? Shooter can't get away from noise increase but would like to know difference between them. And yes I wear hearing protection. Always good muffs over fitted ear plugs when using a brake.

Not interested in sound levels or blast, only maximum recoil reduction.

Love the performance of the TMB but it's just to big with the rear section. A slimmer & black version would be more of interest to me. The E. C. Tuner is about as large as I could go personally

Nicely done, you missed the leader Browning Recoil Hawg .. apparently cuts down recoil 75% would have been interesting bench mark. Anyway we’ll done! 👍🇨🇦

I went from using the recoil hawg to using the hudu muzzle brake, the recoil hawg is very good but the hudu reduces recoil 80-87%. I have one mounted on my .300wm and .308. It’s nice to pull the trigger on that .300wm and watch the bullet hit the paper at 300 yards!

@@thestacche6898 Reason being? I mean PRS shooters are very particular and do not always use the best gear. Ex. Vortex Razor, NF and Kahles scopes are used roughly 90% of the time and they are not the best scopes on the market.
