Hey guys so I recently picked up a couple of tyre cleaners to test out and thought I'd compare them in a video directly. so we have Carpro Retyre and Gyeon Tire Cleaner.
Active Foam is my favorite too. My garage and driveway smells so dang good after using it. I love how little you have to use of it. Such value in it. Thanks Josh!
Thanks for this comparison!! I can't see any difference, to be honest. I've always used CarPro products, but for tires, I've always used Adams' Wheel & Tire Cleaner, which does an excellent job too. Yesterday, I ordered both the Gyeon Tire Cleaner and the CarPro ReTyre. I'm glad to know that, at least, they are both good products. I guess we won't be disappointed to use either one.
Thanks for the video as always. Just curious if you could test the MIRCH grime off and Dragon Blood if posssible as they just released V2 for both these products. Want to see how much of an improvement they are.
In Europe (Slovakia) is Gyeon 1L for 13€ and Carpro 14€. Overall I started with Gyeon products but I switched to Carpro. They deliver always 25% more performance. I had bought both cleaners and results were same as yours :)
I went to the gyeon day in Sydney and they're great guys and their products are great too. But still leaning towards carpro. But the fact they're at Repco now makes like easier when buying gyeon
Have you tried the Shine Supply Wise Guy tyre cleaner? Waxit sell it in a 3.8L bottle for around $64 (I wouldn't bother with the 473mL size as its way less economical). I usually dilute Wise Guy 50:50 with water and its still one of the best tyre cleaners that I've used to date. I'd be keen to see it go head to head with some of these products as I reckon it would be a strong contender. Great work with the video mate.
Tw cleans tires really well. Wasteful to use it on wheels. Got mine at Supercheap when they had club deal across the TW line. $25 I think. I wouldn't buy it again unless on sale when a strong APC does the same thing at much lower cost.
I love using meguiar's hot rims wheel & tire cleaner. It has a great browning effect and gives the tire a nice new and matte appearance!. Even without rubbing with a brush it gives good results to the tires. I don't know if the D143 version detailer non-acid wheel & tire cleaner and the same in gallon?. I would so love to have the same result as the consumer version but in gallons!!
When taking regions into account, CarPro ReTyre is actually cheaper here. So CarPro would be my pick. Especially when bought in 4ltr. Also, most detail video's I've watched use way to much of it, there's no need to coat the entire tire in foam. And if you don't like the foaming, you could always use something like the Canyon triggers or repack it into another sprayer.
The test i have searched numerous times nobody did it till now, here in germany there is almost no price difference between the two Gyeon 14€ CarPro 16€ they both perform well
@@EvolvedDetails I would probably go with carpro too, maybe I'd have to change the sprayer to a regular one. The usage of the product is very high with the foamer
Surely a few sprays on to the brush, a light scrub then let dwell is enough. With that much product it all gets knocked off as soon as you brush it anyway. Hmm
I generally overuse products in videos to get best results. But if I didn't I'm sure I'd have someone saying I don't use enough so it wasn't a fair test
