Hey Felix, Thanks for uploading the tutorial video, it certainly was very helpful. A quick questions - can we do a DEM or DTM through Civil 3D, also how do you classify the points on Civil 3D?

Hi, I have provided the .grd files from my surveyor as a topo file. How can I open this in civil 3D?
@JohnDeereGee
The side slopes on your ponds look fine - uniform and parallel. The innermost part of your ponds are the water surface, not the pond bottom. That's why your contours zig-zag across. If you look at your point cloud, there are no data points in the water areas. These should be treated as data voids. Draw polylines along the water edges and define them as boundaries in your surface within which C3D should not create a surface. Same thing with building footprints. Too many surface models are created without taking into account data voids. Can't tell you how many times I've seen contours running through buildings.
