With so many wetsuits on the market, here is our opinion on some of the best wetsuits available for warmth, flexibility, durability and value when shopping on a budget.
No internal taping on the Phyco One, stitching, glued and external welding stuff. The feel of the nylon tread stitch against your skin feels a tad scuffy at first if your used to the comfort of a soft internal tape feel, ..but those threads will soften in time with use, and this suit rules! ..also the neck seal hold a separate hood in really well, I'm using the C-skins legend hood with mine (great combo) and still not too tight a neck elastic (at least for me)
Opinion on the rip curl flash bomb 5/4 hooded? Want a warm suit for windsurfing in winter about 8 degree celsius water. Really unsure of what to go with. Definitely want durability and warmth. Obviously the movement with windsurfing is different than surfing but i think the main 2 concerns are warmth and durability. Suggestions or thoughts?
Hey Rich, they are nice suits! They fall into a similar vein to the Vissla. They are more fashion focused brands so tend to buy 'off the shelf' tech for their wetsuits rather than companies like Xcel and O'Neill who work with the factories to innovate linings and neoprene like the TBX3 and Radiant rebound. Their suits are decent enough, much like need essentials etc but you get higher spec materials in more wetsuit focused brands like O'Neill or C skins etc than you do with brands like Volcom/Vans etc who are more apparel focused in my opinion.
