Holy Order Sol is Sol but more unga. That's not even a joke. The reason why he has the charge mechanic and aggressive gameplan is because he hasn't figured his shit out yet. So he's just going in hard.

The fun part is that EX Order-Sol is a near-perfect copy of GG1 Sol, right down to the normals.

Not entirely correct with the lore. Holy Order Sol appears in one of Sol’s story branches when I-No sends him back to the past. You play as Sol and if you end the fight with an IK it kills past Sol. Then comes Sol’s most badass moment when he’s literally erased himself from time but then just wills himself back into existence because fuck I-No and her shenanigans.

Holy Order Sol is the greatest alternate version of the main character ever created. He's rushdown like Sol but his tools are so different. I was such a fanboy I even imported GGXX Slash and modded my PS2 just to play him. Order-Sol is one of the reasons my favorite GG is Accent Core.

Order Sol is a stupid fun character to play, especially for getting into XX. I think his charge meter is a nice way of easing people into resource management, which is something most whole games really lack.

One more thing, You forgot to mention that after every enhanced special you can keep your Meter, Press dust after each amplified special move to not only continue pressure but manage your meter, If done consistently you'll always have 1 or 2 bars at each time, Also some specials have certain utility usage at certain bars, EX. Gunblade at 2 bars can be used for massive block stun and strings, Prototype Bandit Revolver is better at 2 bars because it acts like Dragon Install bandit revolver and grants for follow ups, However for Scarlet Viper (DP) using it at 3 bars could lead to hard knock down situations which you can follow up with Gun Blaze (QBC P) Granted that you make sure to dust after 3 bar Scarlet Viper.

Lore time (because it's actually silly and dumb and awesome) HOS is Sol from the past yes, but he was brought to the current timeline by I-No so that HOS and Sol would fight to the death thinking the other is an imposter, ending up with current Sol dead regardless. But Sol isn't that stupid so they just stop fighting and I think beat up I-No after idk. Keep up these fun videos

They could have Sol telling a story about his holy order days to Jack O/Aria or even reminiscing with Kai (maybe they're arguing over "what really happened") set sometime before / after Strive, and use that to introduce the character. He'd be like a flashback character.

I've had this idea for a while; What if Order Sol came from an alternative timeline where Sol and other characters like Ky, May and others are role swaps of other characters (Ky would be Sol and "Order Sol" would be Ky for example), thus why there are two Sol existing in this game.

Man… I really think it’d be so cool to see HOS comeback now considering they can make him dramatically different to Sol. Not even speaking gameplay wise, his design can be incredibly similar to pre strive, while still making it entirely fresh. Maybe in a way the past is refreshing in a way lmao.

I came here hoping you could explain what the whole deal is when he does that blue spark just frame after certain strings by pressing Dust.Order Sol is an interesting character I've messed around with in the past but I couldn't wrap my head around his mechanics and by proxy his best stuff. Funny enough this really makes me think about how cool it would be to see this slightly repackaged with updated in game guides like they have in Xrd. It would sick to actually see FRC key frames or breakdowns of character specific mechanics for example. It's important for us older fans to remember these are old ass games and a visual guide is infinitely easier to digest than forum thread loaded with text these days. This game being older have benefits of systems being very open ended for player expression as well. Never games as especially ArcSys stuff has become VERY predetermined by the devs. Hell with this game having a revival why NOT starting making breakdown videos and get that RU-vid money?

Slash and AC were dream-match type games where story didn't matter for character selection, that's why AC had every single character that appeared in past games even if they had already died like Kliff who was brought back through a weird non-canon time-travel storyline. Xrd's cast was entirely canon, and I assume that Strive will be the same. There has been talk about crossovers and how they want them but only once the GG story is completed, which makes me think that getting a new dream-match GG might also not be too unlikely, but Strive will come first.

236+p is not his gunflame. That would be Gunblaze but it does function as a Range hit, Super awesome because at lv3 its +36 on block xD; Fafnir also comes out on Level 3 Bandit Revolver but its more like Sol's traditional one;
