@katejenveyfineart1324 Are there any particular pens or drawings pe cilantro or acrylic pens you recommend for someone starting off..or skilmlevel isn't a factor in choosing quality drawing/sketching material or it is? I hope you can respond when you can Thanks. And also any tips for someone starting out late in lkfe..how do you generate new and creative ideas for things to draw? I get discouraged because indont want to feel less talented than someone who started out young but I do feel that a lot.

@@leif1075 You can have 2 sets of materials, one for sketching and a better quality set for drawing. The Staedtler Lumograph pencils are great for both, just a 2B & a 3B are all you need, a cheap sketchbook to practice sketching in, the more sketching you can do the better. For drawing I use high-quality paper, Arches hot-pressed (smooth) watercolour paper mostly. For creative ideas, draw what you are passionate about and break it down into smaller parts, say you like big cats, then draw eyes, fur, ears, etc then the bigger picture. Best to start small and do many, they are more achievable and not as time-consuming. Collect images in a folder on your computer so that they are ready to go and try and draw something most days. Avoid comparing yourself to others, we are all at different stages, enjoy each drawing you do as it takes you a step forward, it may not be perfect but it is still an achievement!

Oh you have such a brilliant talent. That Cheetah made me swoon. What a lovely explanation and why the need to be consistent in our drawing practice matters. By doing we get better at our practice, leading to being better artist. Thank you for your video.
