What's The Future For Our Autistic Son?

He's able to pick up languages like Russian, German and even the Jawi alphabet; to recognise lift brands like Otis and Kone immediately - and he's on the autism spectrum.
While his condition could be viewed as his superpower, the flip side means that he struggles to perform simple tasks, like crossing the road, without the guidance of his parents.
An unwavering love saw Bob and Hwee Hwee through giving up careers in the news industry, and even through a major setback in 2018, when Hwee Hwee was diagnosed with nose cancer and underwent chemotherapy.
Now, with companies like SAP and Microsoft hiring coders with autism, and Jun Le taking an interest in Scratch programming, Hwee Hwee and Bob have renewed hope that their son might find a job one day and be independent.

I like how these parents don't make their lives out to be entirely miserable. They acknowledge the problems they're currently facing while talking about the good things they have in life because of autism. That's how you be real about your situation.

My 26 year old has autism and I feel like his talents and skills are being wasted just because I don't have any money to pay for classes or skill development programs. He could learn to be a productive person but instead he's stuck at home doing nothing. The lack of access to opportunities for him is just so sad and frustrating!

I agree it would be nice if they had a special school for children with autism like we do in the states or homes that are there for kids like him where they can live normal lives or as close to normal as possible and interact with other kids like him. Bless his parents hearts. Keep doing what they’re doing the world needs to soften its heart. So we can be there more for kids like him who might struggle

I just have to clarify this- it's not just Jun Le who needs this routine but people with Autism generally need it and function better with routine.

I’m a special education teacher. Students on the spectrum requires so much time and patience. It’s financially and emotionally draining for many of my parents and their siblings. They are brilliant individuals who learn differently and have deficits in social skills. Keep supporting him and he’ll achieve his dreams!

@@sjj26000 you absolutely cannot stop trying just because some schools don't take him in. teach him yourself or train others to teach him. you need to provide him a way to communicate. most schools are so clueless it is impossible. a special school i used to send my brother to in vietnam, they never really emphasized communication and they also do not understand autism. my brother is non verbal and at the end they just have nothing constructive about how his differences. they just left him shut in. unable to communicate. through research i found methods which will allow them to type instead. there are so much more about autism most people cannot imagine such as sometimes their brains want to do something but their bodies won't cooperate. autistic individuals are not shut in. the world needs to be less clueless

@@sjj26000 maybe use something that will motivate him to cooperate.u guys cannot just quit on him. do research on the drugs u give him. make sure they help. also treat him with respect and be open minded.don't just use your own thinking. suppose your parents or you say things like "he is hopeless" around him, he will be hurt. if your parents hurt you, how likely will you wanna cooperate? because most autistic people are so misunderstood and get disappointed, they often do not get the help they need

Hello, we have a son who is autistic, used to hit his head on the walls and floor, smashed his forehead in blood, kicked me in the stomach, pinched everyone he saw in the street and at home, could yell for hours, threw things, his tantrums knew no bounds, He broke everything at home, acted like a man possessed, he was screaming and looking away, as if someone unseen was hurting him badly, the medications the doctor prescribed made him more aggressive and suicidal. I was very scared when I saw how he reacted to something invisible, I went to church and confessed to the priest, for myself and for my son, we ordered prayer services in churches, prayed a lot ourselves and began to give the child holy water, I have always confessed previously helped with addiction, and various problems, and every time I confessed, my son stopped behaving badly for a while, changed before my eyes, it took me several years, when there were backlashes I always went to confession. Now he laughs sometimes for no reason. You know, the way of healing is a long way, but you should not lose faith, God is merciful, and everything is possible for him, he sends such children for the salvation of the soul, God wants to bring us to church for salvation, and when people are doing well, they often become arrogant and mean, and the church sacraments give great strength to survive everything, and through confession and communion of parents the grace of God works in their children. Good luck to you and don't lose hope! Confession and other church sacraments heal everything! then it is impossible to live without them, after you have received unexplained grace in your soul and body. And it is also desirable to go to church with your husband, and let him also confess for the sick child, tell the priest everything that the child does, after the permissive prayer it becomes much easier, pray also for your whole family. If possible, give the child as much communion as possible. Also, order vigil and prayer services, and give alms when possible. Read prayers with your child, if possible. My eldest daughter was also healed, she had many problems, developmental delays, concentration problems, incontinence of urine and feces, constant bacteria in her bladder that would not go away. The doctors gave her antibiotics but they only worked for a short time. She couldn't go to school at all, she sat and did nothing, her teachers wanted to send her to a school for the demented because of that. You know, I went to church and cried by the icons, prayed to God to help, it all lasted a long time, but once my daughter was different, all the problems were gone, Thank God, now she is an adult, and is studying for a profession, when I ask her, When I ask her if she remembers her painful, bitter childhood, she tells me that she does not remember anything negative, God gave her a new heart, as I asked him to do once. You know, I thank God for everything, for what he has brought me to him through the illness of my children. Good luck to you all, and God's Grace! To heal, please follow the following recommendations: . Go zero waste and ensure you are not consuming or exposing yourself to any unwanted chemicals . Ensure drinking water is clean and safe . Ie: buy a gravity water filter. . completely detox from heavy metal toxicity. . Heal the gut ( organic celery juice and other strategies ) . Reduce exposure to Electromagnetic radiation such as “all radio and wireless devices” buy a emf meter to measure exposure. . Go organic. . If necessary move to a blue zone . Jun Le needs nature.. move somewhere away from gadgets ( Jungle ) and watch the healing process happen. Our bodies where made to heal. . Wim Hof method also helps in this process because it oxygenates the brain and boosts immunity quickly and easily without toxic chemicals. Breathing is free.

Bill These are places where people live in harmony with Nature and earth energies. Where the environment is clean and supportive of a good healthy life and longevity. Usually isolated places with their own original culture, freedoms, communities, food sovereignty, localism, cooperatives and wellbeing. They are everywhere from Island in Japan, Greece, or in the middle of the Pacific where people live happier, longer healthier lives.

How to prevent autism? Dont wash your hands when you're gonna eat, not if it's not that dirty, fighting the bacteria that we ate trains our immune system to be strong, which located in our spines that is connected to our brain, being over hygeinic is what cause autism and allergies
