I'm often asked "what are your reverb settings?". I do use reverb sometimes, but it's rarely the reverb that people are asking about, even if they think that's what they're hearing.
I've used delay for over 20 years, and this video takes a look at that journey from the Alesis Nanoverb, all the way to my current presets in the Lin6 HX Stomp, and my journey of how to find the right delay pedal for bass.
I've included performances of Bostrom Bagatelle, Poet's Walk, American Elm, and a solo improvised piece. And I used only the HX Stomp preset for the entire video, right up until the very last chord where I pushed a little Iron Ether Frantabit and FMeron through the HX Stomp.
I have no doubt that I will always be tweaking the Line6 HX Stomp, so make sure you check back in with the discussion from time to time, or drop a comment below the video if you're curious about a particular aspect of the programming. I welcome the conversation, and look forward to seeing some people use this preset in their own music.
