Great detail and video. What is with the buffing compound in the pick up cavities and no paint on shielding. NICE GUITAR OTHERWISE

Sometimes routed surfaces are rough and hang on to compound even after final cleaning. There's no shielding paint because this particular model is made using more vintage specs and processes. Thanks for the comment!

Hey thanks for saving me the time. Interestingly, I took off the neck of mine and in the pocket was 7721666, which I thought was a unique code to mine (it shares 7721 with other parts), but looks like you have the exact same code under your neck pickup. Maybe it's a part number then. Anyway Idk about your particular example, but this is the best non-custom-shop Fender I've ever played.

Right? Killer guitar, well made production instrument. Fender has a repository of manuals for their instruments - parts lists, codes etc. But I haven't seen anything for this particular model yet.
