Harley released all the information on the new missing motorcycles from the 2024 lineup, such as the Street Glide, Road Glide, CVO's and the new CVO Road Glide ST and CVO Pan America. I have many thoughts I want to share.

I noticed the Street and Road Glide comes standard with riding modes and the RDRS. The RDRS alone was a thousand dollar option in 2023. So in reality there is quite a price drop on the 2024 models. Also, while the CVO ST doesn't have VVT, it gets a 10 hp power jump over the CVO with VVT.

I don't like the new bat wing fairing on the street glide but I am happy to see that they moved the fuel cap back to the center. Also don't like the squarish headlight. Remember what happened to the wranglers when they had square headlights in the late 80s, Sales went down.

Ride height can be adjusted up & down by sliding forks up & down and modifying mounting points Y preload adjustments on the rear...

They have two special packages that you can add on. which is basically just black part instead of chrome, and a different air cleaner. Think they could have done better with the colors on the glides. Also disappointed they didn't get the inverted front forks and still now remote lock saddle bags.

Adaptive ride height was not standard on the previous Pan American Special, it was a $1,200 option, but we all ordered them t=with that option.

I was certain of getting a lowrider st, then turning into a light touring bike. Now with the road glide priced where it is and all the options it actually comes out cheaper. I can't make up my mind

Some initial observations… navigation is a $350 option on the non CVOs, vehicle hold control is a $70 upgrade, not included in the RDRS, The Harley exclusiveness with the Bluetooth capabilities continues. I love the new bikes, the new motors, definitely going in the right direction. As I reflect on this, I have a 20 road glide special with a lot of accessories setup for touring. These new bikes are really geared towards performance baggers. I would have to add a lot of those same items back on to get them setup for performance touring

Would have liked tosee that CVO Pan America motor is going into a new Super V-Rod and that 121 CVO in an FXST. low & lean. pinching pennies or paying cash is why I got the 2023 FXST, my first brand new Harley after riding for 55+ years, last April. This November I put cash together and had my dealer do the 119 C.I. screaming eagle stage 3 upgrade. The Standard FXST is a great bike to get a low & lean custom besides a penny pincher for many folks. I was glad to see Harley use the father and son point referring to family bonding...that was a nice surprise for what is happening these days.

The good: The MSRP is lower but you get All LED lighting, integrated WHIM now along with integrated RDRS, The 12 in. TFT screen, standard 200 watt audio/Car Play and the 117 cu motor. All in all-I'd say that's a really good value compared the the same old bland year after year servings we've gotten since 2015. The bad: I am NOT a fan of the new saddle bag shape and there's not too many accessories you can swap over from your 2014 thru 2023 except the 4 point hitch. Lastly the 2024 colors don't excite me either and Vivid Black is now a $650 option!

Ryan, be happy the VVT will go through another year of testing. You don’t want the first year of a new model/motor.

Yes, it does. But there's more to VVT than just fuel mileage. It's an amazing power band.

The Pan America Special does have Adaptive ride height, it's not standard like on the CVO. It's always been an add on.

All the HD hype is about the Road Glide. Seems like that is all they care about in the touring line. Didn't even upgrade the Ultra Limited for 2024. Had a Road Glide for 9 years and went back to the Ultra which I prefer for many reasons. Not too sure what HD is aiming for anymore!!!!

Of course I want the CVO RG in Orange and Black, (Lurch has really good taste). I'm struggling with the price. I get it, lots of changes. I love more tech, more power, more Harley. Just trying to digest that price. There's only 2 wheels and it only fits 2 people!!

Came to terms. Tell Lurch there's a guy in WI that just purchased a 2024 CVO RG in the orange and black. Beautiful bike, expensive but the dealer was really good and worked with me.@@RyanUrlacher

And they do not have any lowers lower fairings and if you wanna tour pack, I don’t know how much one of those will cost. I know they have them for them. You’re gonna be at $60-$70,000 for a motorcycle and it still will not have any lowers and they got rid of the crash bars, so where do you put your high pegs?

Now that RDRS is included in the price AND the no factory surcharge AND the 117 being the base engine, i feel the price is significantly decreased! Also it appears that the base 117 engine is now getting a little more power than the CVOs of 2022.

I love the RG ST CVO. Just don’t like the price. As far as the VVT, I am hearing from the local stealership that the CVO’s from 2023 are having engine issues. I know the Street Glide has a recall regarding instability at speeds over 100 mph. I haven’t seen any posted recalls on engine stuff yet though.

Also no XM radio. I know you can use the phone for it, but when out in the sticks sometimes there is no service. Does anyone think they worked out the bugs yet from last years CVO infotainment issues ? (kickstand sensor disabling bike, connectivity, fried amp on software update etc). I would like to get the new roadglide but unsure as it is a first year upgrade.

VVT should only be on the Main CVO. Helps balance power and fuel mileage ST version should still be "hotrodable" Same as all the other Road/Street Glide versions. Guess everyone wanted at least a 114, so starting with 117 is pretty awesome. The after market builders need at least a few years to R&D any VVT system.

I looked at the dimensions, and it looks like the RG and SG got lighter, both bikes weigh within I want to say 25lbs of a Road King Special. The 24's are a little lighter than the 23's in standard trim.

Thanks for jumping on this overview vid so fast. My first thought was the price on the road glide/street glide being surprisingly affordable and without the crazy bidenomics hike I was expecting. I see that you can buy many of these all blacked out as an option, but for an aditional $1350! What?! For the same parts lol. Glad I'm a chrome guy. Looking forward to your Vegas vids.

I looked back on Harley’s RU-vid channel and the launch was in January but the icon and enthusiast bikes came out 4 months after that so I wonder what they are coming out with for those 🤔

The MoCo has to gradually bring the features of the ‘23 CVO’s into the rest of the touring bikes, or they’d really burn the folks who bought those CVO’s….hence, the CVT motor not yet fully integrated. Agree with your comments on the ST’s…but they’ve got to put them out to appeal to the general public, who would not be happy with mid controls, more lean angle, etc.. Expect more from the mid-year releases…👍

The base model 21,999 plus abs, plus Navi, plus RDRS, plus surcharge put the base model at about $26.000. For the same money we get more power, more features, and new look. Great job Harley on the price.

Base models RG and SG......No more surcharges. Dropped those this year!! Comes with ABS standard, navi, rider enhancments. All standard!!

Yes, making those features standard equipment puts the 2024 at about the same price with more features and more power. I thought the 2024 would come in around $29,000 like the Indian Chieftain Limited. I am glad I was wrong. Now that Harley has more bike for less money Indian will need to step up their game. @@RyanUrlacher

Regarding the 2024 status for the new Pan America models, I'm disappointed that the 1250 Special no longer has the adaptive ride height feature. This is a deal breaker for me because that feature sets the Pan America apart from all the other "heavy-weight" adventure bikes. I'm not about to pay the premium price for a CVO, that's going off-pavement, gonna get muddy and probably fall over more than once. Sorry, Harley, I'll keep my existing UltraClassic for road riding and look at the new BMW GS1300 which is priced lower, or maybe I can find a pre-owned 2023 Pan America Special. Thanks for your great commentary and information!!

vvt will be introduced next year with SPL model at a higher 30+ price. HD is raising prices on all of their line-up.

@@RyanUrlacher : 117 is the new base model and a base price. Totally agree next year, vvt will be a special /ST model with higher price. Now if we look at it, the base model price has gone up by 2k.

I disagree with you regarding the new models being the same as “Specials” at a lower price. They can certainly be optioned up to be equivalent to the previous “Specials”, but that adds more money to the base price. For example, you have to pay extra for the blacked out look, and you also have to pay extra to get blacked out wheels. By the time you do all that you’ve pushed the base price to over $30,000. So to get A bike that would be comparable to the old special, you are definitely paying more than you would last year.

Thx for watching. I will say that's unfortunate. However, it is worth noting the "normal consumer" is a Street Glide buyer. That's been HD's number one selling bike for too many years to count now. Road Glide is second.

Cant believe the base model doesn't come with free gps. The cvost doesn't have vvt because they put a more aggressive cam it and guess it wont work with the vvt. Always my belief is the track mode mostly just turns off traction control and stability

Yah, we believe a cam in the ST. Headed to Vegas to get a very detailed view and ride on these bikes. I will ask all the questions and put a Video out ASAP when I get back. After Feb 1. That's when I return.

Bought a 2023 SG. Glad i did, the 2024 isnt winning any prizes. Its like a discount CVO. A bit disappointed, especially because the ultra didnt get any of the tech. Which is weird since it seems like the bikes that would benefit most. New tech and vvt on the ultra and limited would have been great.

Harley was smart not to mass release the VVT yet. Probably still working out reliability issues on their new tech. The 117 as standard and the fact that you are getting an updated special for 2 grand less is just plan good marketing! Still disappointing the newer front end with inverted forks didn't make it and the lack of electronically locking bags or wind screen.

So I watch your videos all the time. When you rode that Indian that was impressive how that bike ran. They’ll give me wrong. I like my Harley Davidson. I like my Harley Davidson anyway I will not be buying a new bike and I am not happy with it ultra limited. They’re all black no chrome just plastic coat coat

Smart move to cut the standard. Two reasons: 1) they market themselves as a premium brand 2) people searching for value / affordability / price can tap into the glutton of barley used HDs for sale privately which devalue said premium brand

I heard that Harley-Davidson joined Cardo Bluetooth and put together an integrated headset communication that does not need a WHIM (wireless headset integrated module) any more! Any truth to this?? Can someone who is in the know elaborate please.

I really doubt that 90.% of the riders will be able to use all the lean angle. Consider yourself as a skilled rider but the majority of most riders do not have the skills. Good video

Not a big fan of bikes with fairings, just look kinda fat and clunky to me, new fairings look better than the old ones though. “Race ready” while being EPA compliant just seems like a gimmick though for $45k+, what an outrageous amount of money. Could easily buy a used bike for under $10k and get all the engine stuff redone the RIGHT way for another $10k and beat the crap out of that CVO while easily saving yourself at least $20k.

The official 2024 release video was a disappointment Too much biography about people we don't even know and not enough about the bikes. That said, I saw nothing in the reveal that made me want to run out and trade in my bike for a new one.

I am so disappointed in the direction Harley Davidson is going. I have a 14 CVO limited. It is so much more bike than these things. I’m not looking for a performance bagger. I’m looking for a grand tour bike. If you want to race bike by a strip down bike and build the motor, what happened to the custom paint jobs. The only thing they want is money.

Id be mad as hell if i bought a 23 CVO right about now 😅😅 considering all the goodies are now standard for all of their bikes now 😅😅. They couldve waited till the 24s dropped an got the same bike for half the price. Ugrade the suspension and forks an you still didnt pay as much for it like you would the CVO 😅😅

Hola me llamo MANUEL desde España te sigo desde hace muy poquito me parece muy bien explicado todo pero tengo un pequeño problema con una Strid glide especial del año 2017 y sistema audio Boom y tengo instalado el interfaz para el sistema whi,e comprado un casco helmet con auricular OUTRUSH R v 1.2.1 y se conecta con la aplicacion HD audio pero al recibir una llamada contesto y a los 2 segundos se corta la comunicacion con el casco,a ver si usted me puede informar ys que no consigo aqui en españa solucion,muchas gracias

Time to upgrade to a Indian, love my pursuit.. still have my Harley but it sets in the corner of the garage now.. Hands down Indian is much better ride than a Harley

VVT has more horse power and less torque and and the non VVT has more torque and less horsepower, that's probably why the ST CVO doesn't have VVT
