I like the way the seat follows the lines of the bike, I hope you like it. You know you bought the right bike when after you get off it you have to looks at it again !
I had the step up seat and it’s a great seat. Just don’t forget the break in period as it starts out a little stiff. After a couple months it really breaks in and gets super comfortable. I just got the renegade solo seat so I could run a solo rack for my tour pack.
I have a saddleman seat - One thing I was looking for was a seat that would raise my butt about an extra inch and forward a little. The extra height allows a better angle for my mid controls and the inch forward for a closer move to my stock handle bars. I can still flat foot the bike where I am 5' 10".
So I wanted to say thanks for the handlebar riser and top clamp information it came out perfect on my FXLRST 2022. I also recently bought a Saddlemen seat but mine was the explorer with rider backrest. I owned it for one day and took a 2,750 mile ride to Wyoming from California. With the seat, risers and Clokworks windshield it made the ride a breeze. Thanks again Jason.
Great stuff Sandy. Love Saddlemen. Have on both my SG and RG. Most comfortable seat I’ve ever had. Safe travels in India buddy. Hope to see you soon at some event
You’re welcome Sandy ✌🏻 I was hoping you would of been at the NJ practice session to meet you. The Saddlman seat looks better on the bike. Enjoy your trip 🏍️
looks great on the Bike. Reminds me of the old school King/Queen throne seat on old school choppers. Just ordered a Saddleman Road Sofa for my Chieftain...looking forward to some comfortable miles on it. Enjoy the Himalayas.
well put together video -cheers! ...what annoys me about the seat manufacturers though is that there is very little thought about the pillion. I need a seat with a backrest for my pillions - two daughters. That is a logical thing I reckon. But both manufacturers' websites show "bare" pillion seat options. Disappointing. With a stepped seat, I already have a backrest of sorts, and so a single thought for the comfort of the pillion would be much appreciated. It is just something that I find short-sighted on the part of the seat manufacturers....but again, nice video - and very nice bike.
Pro tip: the Saddlemen SDC Pro comes with a little removable backrest. You can remove that and slide in the full size Saddlemen backrest. Best of both worlds…
There's also a new Tour Step Up seat, that comes with a removable backrest. But you can't go wrong with a classic Step Up. That Mustang seat is too "old man" for me
Looks nice but i find the saddlemen step up looks to sudden and sharp Notice when you first sit on it it doesnt follow your natural curve and leaves a nice big air gap at your lower back.. Keen to hear a longer term review
😂 mustang seats are definitely not sporty or cool looking. But they are the most comfortable. I gave up cool looking for comfort last year. I haven’t look back since.
Great seat . Can’t go wrong with Saddlemen. I have a Saddlemen with orange stitching. Gel pad . Great seat but a bit hard on the long trips . Just picked up a Lepera Tailwhip diamond stitch with foam , so far really comfortable. I went with the Lepera for the old school look also and it has some back support also to keep you on the bike on take offs .
@@HOLYSHIFT it is on the heavy side . They do have metal pans also . I’ll check out the weight between the 2 . Enjoy your trip . Sounds like a great ride
Idk, I think that mustang with bib looks better. The pattern on the mustang could be better, but lines wise I like the cockpit look made by the mustang a lot more.
I’m a little biased but if I had to choose one I’ll take a Lepera all day. Especially if you’re looking for a step up style seat. Your boy from Antelope Valley HD.
The Saddleman goes better cause your bike looks more sporty. I wanted to ask you where did you purchase your Harley bar and shield logo on your fender? Good video 👍
In your seating photos it was clear that the mustang has much better lower back support. Will be interested to hear your feedback after a few thousand miles
I have the same problem with my saddlemen step up. I also have the tuck and roll version on my lrs and after about an hour my ass hurts and it makes my nuts go numb. It puts pressure in the wrong areas and cuts off circulation. I'm looking for another seat.
Not impressed with saddleman's service. Been on the phone with them trying to figure out their website to add color stitching. And no one there knows how to do it
Everyone that buys this bike has to make so many changes to try to make it comfortable. Seats, foot controls , bars.....HD screwed up the ergos on all the softails. Knees too high make these very uncomfortable.
Your lowrider build is coming along real nice! Let me know if you want to sell your old Mustang seat...Im looking for one just like that...thanks Regards John
