My Behringer uphoria interface. 8 "Midas" $5 pres that sound beefier than the $5 "xmax" pres in my presonus interface. SPDIF and ADAT, enough ins n outs for my outboard stuff, and the converters are FINE. Plus the power button is on the front.
Ive got one of those same composers and I love it! My favorite piece of uncool gear though is probably my Sansamp GED 2112. Almost every bass track recorded in my studio ends up going through that thing.
Line 6 POD 2nd gen. Useless for what it was designed for, but if you plug a small speaker into the headphone amp and crank the shizz out of it you can record pretty killer "I'm blowing up this amp" tones without blowing up anything real. Also cool for vocals and crunching the hell out of Casios and other table tooters. Stupid as a guitar DI but as a trash box... pretty rad and you can get them for a song.
