WHAT'S YOUR NEXT STEP? How to tread the Agroforestry path 

I appreciate this video. In the beginning, I encountered a very dogmatic thinker in terms of agroforestry. Claiming others weren't really "doing it" because their systems didn't reflect what his ideal system was. I ended up being turned off to it, thinking it was just another new garden methodology, a fad, and had no desire to dive into it until I naturally ran Into it years later. Start where you can, no matter how small or simple. It's only up from there.🙏

I can relate to what you are sharing very well. I am in the third year of building my overall system and just recently got a bit overwhelmed by it. I see soil compacting, I see that my staff while understanding the diversity in the tree lines, do not understand that the principle of strata and diversity also applies in the veg lines. So the veg lines look like monoculture lines. Only since we had them visit other local women who are doing something similar - not exactly the same as us - did they suddenly say that we should be interplanting the vegetables more. Also I am learning from initial mistakes made with the strata - simply because I did not know the size of all the species which I planted. It requires a lot of forgiving yourself and being patient with oneself to then quietly take a look at the system and think carefully what step to take next.

The logic is very good. I can relate to the discussion on simple versus complex as i had similar discussions in my previous job unrelated to agriculture. The video iI referenced is a very simple agroforestry system but the farmer is proud of his progress and will extend it (470k views)
