fancy gal: yes, it is matter as most people use the same password for everything. Nowadays passwords are required to access your internet related data. Easier to remember one (complicated one) and use that for all instead of having "30" different passcodes for each.

fyi the longer the password is the better (takes longer to guess), which makes the best passwords are more like phrases, since they are also much easier to remember than completely random strings (which are good if you're using a password manager)
