Some European countries don't speak English, you go to such countries in seek of greener pasture or academic, you learn the language, China was colonized by the British but they don't speak English... Ghana is one of the few African countries that embrace their local languages, whenever you find yourselves there, try and learn the language to adjust biko... One love, one Africa

I find it strange that an African sees her fellow African speaking his native African language in his own African country to be "problematic". So, it's okay for the Chinese to speak Mandarin in China and for an Englishman to speak English in England, but a Ghanaian speaking a Ghanaian language in Ghana is "problematic"? Somehow, the standard expectation is for the Ghanaian to speak the colonizer's language, English, to be considered "polished" or educated? Colonialism has done incalculable damage to the African mind indeed. Lord have mercy on us!
