What Series Did Super Smash Bros. Introduce You To? 

The intro reminded me of my childhood 🤣🤣🤣 Super Smash Bros introduced me to Zelda, Pokémon, Metroid, F-Zero, and Earthbound. Super Smash Bros Melee introduced me to Fire Emblem, Game and Watch and Ice Climbers. Without Smash, I would have never fell in love with the rest of the Nintendo franchises and I owe it all to Sakurai for bringing these characters together. Love this video idea!

You shaved! This og N64 game introduced me to Samus....who i thought was Metroid. Ness i was like who???? Finally played Earthbound on Wii VC and also F Zero for first time too. Never played Kirby either but knew of Kirby like Metroid from Gameboy commercials. I didnt play the later games but the og game was cool because it was such a new concept. My younger bro closer to your age loved it more and played Melee as well. I kinda retired from it 😅. This series is a love letter to not just nintendo games but also classic video games in general. I'm 14 years old and I remember doing the Marx boss fight in super smash ultimate and loving the character. Eventualy after digging a little deeper i discovered he was from the same series as kirby. after looking into kirby i purchased kirby star allies and immediately fell in love with the kirby franchise. I was around 11 years old when i discovered kirby and now its my very favorite video game franchise ever!

I started playing Smash at 5 Years old with the 64 and it introduced me to so many characters and series. I had no idea who most of the cast was. I only knew Pokemon, Zelda and Mario adjacent characters and I became a huge kirby fan after this though I skip a lot of games in that franchise when money is low. In melee it was ice climbers, GnW and FE Characters same as you. Out of all of these I went on to become a huge FE fan and I still love the series to this day! In Brawl I was introduced to ROB, Olimar, Pit And snake I did play Kid ICarus uprising and I really enjoyed that. In Smash 4 I was introduced to Bayo and a few others, but at this point I knew where most chars were coming from and knew of their games. In Ult It was similar to 4, already big on gaming so I knew of most of these characters. The new ones to me were mostly the FGC chars and I don't like traditional fighting games. I was already big on ARMS and other games so yea. Nice Video!

I guess I'll put my mark here. Xenoblade Chronicles. In Smash 4, I really liked playing on Gaur Plain as a kid. Metal Face's voice and especially the music on that stage really spoke to me as a kid. Music often gets me interested in games. I realized that it was from the game Xenoblade Chronicles, so I decided to ask for XC2 for Christmas in 2017. Unfortunately, I put XC2 down because it didn't really click with me. Later on, I watched Zero's reaction to the Definitive Edition reveal and realized I wanted to try it again. Low and behold, I got a used copy of XCDE. Now, I consider it one of my favorites, and went on to play the third game on release. All because of funny Shulk. Shin Megami Tensei. Here's another I feel a lot could relate too as well. Around the time Joker was unveiled for Smash, I was getting ads for Persona Q2 and ALMOST bought it as my first exposure to the series. I later got Persona 5 as a Playstation Classic or Select? Whatever the budget series was called. While I never finished it on PS4, I did like it enough to later buy Persona 4 Golden when the PC port came out. That, then lead me to realizing the existence of the real shit, Shin Megami Tensei. Me, looking for anything to try on my newly modified 3DS, decided to try Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. Another of my top games, and all because of a Smash inclusion

Cool vid! This does apply to me, both fire emblem and xenoblade were games i got into and now love thanks to playing them in smash. Now that i think about it, earthbound is in there as well! Im thankful to have been introduced to such great games. And always good to have more Leo!

Congrats on 600! You'll break 1,000 by year's end at this rate. Pretty sure Smash introduced everyone in the West to Fire Emblem. But I never really had a way to experience the series until Fire Emblem Awakening. I was aware of the GBA game but not Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn. I was also introduced to Metroid since I didn't own an (S)NES. Game and Watch was also a new concept to me. I learned about the handhelds but never got one until the modern ones. Earthbound also stood out and I thought that Ness was like some mini Pokémon trainer. Ice Climber I either played in Melee or in Animal Crossing on the NES furniture. While I went above and beyond to get as many trophies as possible in Melee, I couldn't tell you one I learned about, except probably ROB preemptively. Kid Icarus is probably the last one I wasn't familiar with by the time Brawl came around.

You're exposing me goddammit Nearly every Nintendo franchise I was introduced to by Smash. Kirby, F-Zero and Starfox being the main ones I stuck with I got into smash from Pokemon because Pokemon were in it. In retrospect I owe a lot to Smash. Given the fact that F-Zero GX is my second favorite game of all time, that's the best series Smash Bros got me into.

Franchises that I was introduced to: Pokémon Zelda Kirby Star Fox Metroid Kid Icarus Pikmin Mother F-Zero Fire Emblem Xenoblade Chronicles When I was younger the only series that I played were Mario and Sonic, playing Smash Bros made me appreciate and respect not just Nintendo but other gaming franchises as well thanks to the inclusions of third-party characters!

Interesting topic but I’m afraid not all that applicable to me, I “casually played smashed Bros on the N64 (maybe once or twice on my friend’s console)…, after that I played a bit of smash on the Wii U followed by the Switch. I appreciate all the characters that Nintendo brings to the series, especially with Ultimate but by the time I really started paying attention (on the Switch) I pretty much knew all the characters. I do appreciate what Nintendo did with smash to expose other franchises and it’s a really creative way of advertising 👍

i first played the N64 game when i rented it after seeing the funny commercial. i also had no idea who captain falcon and Ness were from at the time and Samus hilarious enough i thought was one of eggmans robots from sonic underground lmao the trophies in melee was where i discovered so many games that always fascinated me like custom robos and when i found out there was a gamecube game i had to play it and i really liked it. and then there was famicom detective club with Ayumi who i thought was a sailor moon character lol and probably the biggest mystery to me for a long time was that dog made of cubes (i forget the name of it) but what was strange about it was that it never mentioned the name of the game it was from just said "coming soon" and ti was not until many years i realized it was for the game Cubivore. when Brawl got announced that was where i was starting to adventure out and know more about video games but even at that time i never played MGS so snake was all new to me and seeing him in the game and trailers was what got me to play the games since i got a PS2 in 2006

Definitely Fire Emblem for me
