I think the Somniel excels in being a super chill relaxation area in-between battles. However, the Three Houses' Monastery brought so much more to the in-game world building since you could chat with just about everyone and learn something new every single chapter. It took forever on top of the extra school stuff, but it gave more life to the characters and the world of Fodlan. I think cutting back on non-battle downtime is fine, but I would prefer a better middle ground between the two hub world styles.

Yeah even if the monastery could feel a bit tedious at times, seeing how the different characters reacted to the story evens was legit one of my favorite parts of the game and something I looked forward to after every map. The full voice acting made it even better too

Yeah, I feel the same way. It's a shame, but instead we got unique dialogue from everyone based on where in the Somniel they are so I can appreciate that at least.

Wyvern ride gives a good ammount of money if you sell the items, elixirs sell for 400, torches and vulns for 150, temp stat potions for 75 and anything else for 200. You get 3 items fairly easily from just the normal mode and you are starved for cash most of the time so that all adds up fast.

PSA on relay trials, the latest patch that brought Hector, sorin, and camilla for dlc pass holders also brought recreation to increase support with any two allies you wish, would recommend doing this every time your in the somnel as it makes grinding the final ranks much easier when paired with cooking. The update also FIXED the relay public trials bug so you can search for public codes now.

Note for Relay Trials - once you complete the game, Relay Trials give a guaranteed amount of SP books, even on the easiest, grindable maps. Statboosters are also common too, I found.

Did not know that, very useful info thank you! I just finished my first normal run last weekend and started up a hard dlc enabled run not long after finishing so didn't check relay trials after mid game, nice to know there's more benefits to playing them after finishing.

7:48 Small mistake, upping the meter with Sommie doesn't just make them follow you around it also improves the bonuses Sommie provides you when doing tasks with Sommie

How do you switch to a ponytail for Alear? I tried that mask in the boutique but she only has her default hair style.

1 thing of note the Arena only gives 10 exp no matter if you win or lose in Maddening
