A long discussion on what moves and concepts you should Drill and how you should be drilling these moves. Also Riddle meets a kid 😁 #Buzzsaw #VictoryPanda #Daisyfresh #dogtraining #jiujitsu #GymPuppy #shoyoroll
Thank you for sharing this! As a blue belt, I'm constantly learning but I've put what you've said into practice. And you're right, there are some black belts that I've tapped in under a minute because they fell into the moves that I've been working on consistently so it didn't matter the "belt color". A move correctly executed with mechanics and pressure will tap most people.
Thanks for the free content Andrew. I am a fan of your stuff and you as a martial artist. Would love to chat RU-vid, BJJ/martial arts, and game theory sometime :).
@@WiltseBrothers hey bro I just got my purple belt and i watch your videos everyday. I impoved a lot my knee cutting game , and the usage of legs to isolate limbs and to control, like you do. I wanted to know what video games u played back in the day and what games you enjoy right now. thank you for your content my friend.
lol 42 also. sitting a week out for a broke ass back. there is one good thing though, no matter which injury you show up with it will be replaced by something else by the end of the class. ive been focusing heavily on wrist ankle and elbows and neck so i can quit injuring them. then getting out of bed i broke my back...fuckin bs.
OSS! 🙏I’ve actually use some passing techniques I watched you do on your guys in competition Not sure what that means LOL but thank you and your guys were gamers for sure lived up to that reputation you guys are building
I've subscribed to you because i do recognize a level of unique mastery in your movements. Whatever you've done, I feel, has definitely worked, so I'm gonna listen to this lol.
Just found out about you. Great stuff man. I've been trying to get everyone to drill more and no one is interested barely. They just want to roll hard. They don't see the potential. Good to see you prove the point with your results. Keep it up. A new fan here.
Thanks for working so hard to get to where you are, you've made me realise that if I pulled my finger out I could do shit too, I started a business and as soon as I'm driving I'm gonna train as much as I can. Hope we meet some day bud.
Been watching you guys since the first daisy fresh great details I know there are haters but you guys are the real deal. Love your content and techniques keep em coming oss keep doing what you're doing brother true grit
I have recently found your channel, and am not very familiar with you, but I've subscribed not because of your excellent teaching and technique but because of your philosophy. Looking forward to more.
Thanks for your insight I’m turning 47 this year I got my blue belt about 6months ago so I like your way of thinking. I have a addictive personality so this is my kind of philosophy I recognised you from bjj fanatics and liked your style so just wanted to say cheers mate from Australia Ooss
22k views and only 2 dislikes? Statistically I think more people would have accidentally hit the button. Keep up the great work dude! You're inspiring.

This is great advice, and I’m not into competition, but we do roll hard in class, and I go three time’s a week. I do want my jujitsu to be good. Thanks for the great video.
Andrew great content as always wish I was close to you it would be an honor to meet you. For me I try to stay on top of my health being freaking 43 sux ass. Anyways stretching, shadowboxing, reading, analyzing everything for the search of truth helps me alot, coming from background watching my dad beat my mother as she was a stripper in the 80s, parents in drug scene divorced when I was 7 left me with over religious grandparents who beat me for laughing and told me all the time I was the devil because my Birthday was on Halloween, picked on at school for my red hair by the crips even stabbed me and said red is dead. I started Okinawan Seibu Kan Shorin Ryu recieved black belt but did not go back in 1997 the year I graduated and watching the UFC the very first time was awesome finding that the Gracie's picked all the fighters to promote BJJ quote by Bill Superfoot Wallace that was a judge at the time . That was iconic advertising by the Gracie's. Anyways mental health is also a huge factor in order to train with clear mind.I whole heartily agree that real life is chaotic and ever changing learn to adapt to surroundings change mindset of fighting another to survival of your life. If the enemy strikes your flesh you break his bones if the enemy breaks your bones you take his life. Put your life in the moment of mortal combat think neither of victory or defeat.
Blue belt, Sarasota Florida. I don’t have much time as an UPS driver to train but while I do, I have started to heavily focusing on 1 aspect of a move like where is my instructors hand throughout the process and the next week I’ll watch where I think his center of gravity is or how he keeps his elbows through the process and I feel like focusing on one small detail at a time has really benefited. Did you ever do this?
"I've rolled with a lot of black belts and most black belts aren't very good." Very off topic but something I've thought a lot about recently is the Jiu Jitsu belt system. The belt, personally, I don't think accurately shows someone's skill level. It seems to be more of a time served on the mat. Example, there are purple belts that get destroyed in a lot of areas by new blue belts, but those guys have come in every single day, and stayed after to keep drilling for a year and a half. Of course everyone is different. Age, physical limitations, and the ability to train on a regular basis are big factors in how quickly someone can develop a skill. I have seen in myself and others the idea that creeps in that someone shouldn't have a specific belt because they get submitted by lower belts and aren't submitting those of higher belts. It can get pretty toxic very quickly with the belt focused thinking. (not saying that's what you did by saying that, it just made me think of this topic). That's why I've enjoyed doing No Gi more personally. I don't feel the pressure of trying to live up to my belt and submit or not get submitted by everyone lower or equal to me. I have more freedom to try different things and learn from failures. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?
Agreed. As a blue belt, I notice that when you occasionally tap a higher belt things become awkward & can become toxic. We also have a fat brown belt who gets winded after a couple rolls and gets submitted by blues. Its embarrassing for him, everyone notices it & things can quickly escalate to "bro just take it easy" type stuff.
Thanks for this. I am purple belt but I really feel like I have been pretty much the same skill level since about day 1. I'm good at what I was good at then now and horrible at a lot of stuff..I do well rolling but it's toughness, strength and using experience to find opportunities to move or take advantage .. I feel like the way most schools are structured it is impossible to get good unless you totally own your training and make it happen, make people train with you everyday drill everyday..I don't thats why I suck I go to class and watch videos of shit I don't drill just because I have no more mat time. Classes are not making me or any one else better not when it's week to week new stuff not enough drilling not enough rolling . All that being said , what value do you see in dummies and solo movement drills ?
I feel you! Not everyone can live in a gym and train full time. I think solo drills and movement drills have a lot of potential benefit. I do think you progress faster working with a partner, but it's not always an option. My advise would be to really try to break down the movements being incorporated into the techniques you hit or struggle with, and try to figure out a way to work on them solo. I don't really have a comprehensive list of solo drills off the top of my head because I spend most of my time with access to partners. If you can't think of anything to work on let me know and I'll look into some solo drills for you.
@@WiltseBrothers I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to me and everyone on here, it's a big deal man. I think I am good , I have Danahers solo drills video ..I just dont like solo drills lol.. If you can think of anything good for the stand up game let me know please, I have been doing some shadow wrestling.
I really struggled whether to say anything. I appreciate everything you are doing for the sport of Jiu Jitsu. Your desire not to be around toxic people is awesome for toxicity breeds contempt. However, as I have watched your videos, in the name of not wanting toxic people around you, you come across as toxic by some of the statements you say. I realize that you want to do what’s best and optimal for the sport…I really hope you don’t feel blasted by what I shared. I really do desire to see you succeed in your endeavors for as you succeed…everyone that follows you will inevitably succeed as well. Thank you for all you do.
