In the old days (I started in 6E) you would just buy a skyray because it came with all the parts for a hammerhead as well. Just get creative with the magnets, or even just put a healthy coating of gloss on the joint for the turrets if you don’t want to fiddle with the magnets. Just enough gloss to fill in those dimensions works a treat.
Thank you so much for telling me to watch this vid it has helped put so much❤, but what I've ordered rn is tau combat patrol, farsight and crisis battle suits, I would have gotten the boarding patrol but its put of stock everywhere! 😂
Sure thing! And yeah the boarding patrol was REALLY popular. I hope you keep coming back and enjoy the content! Can't wait to hear how the army goes for you in expanding The Greater Good!
Hope it goes well! And I just want to give everyone a good experience in the hobby. I know it can be rough out there and people don't get appreciation or asked about things that they are passionate about or proud of, so I try to give that to everyone that is kind enough to comment on my videos and help give me good feedback to better entertain and contribute to a positive community. Everyone can use a thumbs up and a heart
@CommanderNearsight wow just wow, that so kind of you, the nicest thing any warhammer person, no scratch that the nicest thing anyone has said to me! Thank you so much for being awesome and great 👍 ♥️
Hammerheads have served me so well. Declare it as Longstrike, he hits on2s against monster/vehicles. Ghostkeels for board control. Ive got 3 and put them down in no mans land. My ghostkeels have been MVP every game. The saves they pull off annoys the hell out of my friends. Hahah
I can't particularly speak to the ghostkeel, as I don't own one, but I can agree with the hammerhead. I have wanted to try ghostkeel spam. I'm happy to hear it's fun and successful.
Personally I have found the hammerhead to be very useful. It can do alot of damage against the right targets but more than that it terrifies my opponents they waste time and effort hiding from it or trying to take it out
I feel that. I had a game with mass infantry spam backed up with a hammerhead and a sky ray and neither really did too much all game but they kept my opponent back and let me control most all of the objectives for the majority of the game. The hammerhead was Longstrike and he didn't hurt a thing that game!
how dare you dislike the hammerhead! it's the best! Also I feel like the video was too scattered and all over the place, some examples of collections focusing on different archetypes or mentioning what roles different models can fill would have been great. Mentioning all units that buff marker lights with there pros and cons next to each other for example.
two combat patrols [minus etherals] + devilfish + hammerhead + pathfinders team is a bit under a thousands points. and every time tau get points reduced for buffs it just makes it harder to make a proper army without good options in soon to release codex.
Love your vids! I've got a small army of pathfinders, a Hammerhead, a darkstrider and some kroot, do you have any suggestions as to what I should get next?
I would say that you definitely need some crisis suits. They are a great swiss army knife for any situation depending on however you'd like to run them. After that I'd say some battle line troops like breachers or strike teams for better holding objectives. And maybe down the line a bigger battle suit with a big gun (personally thinking Riptide they are iconic)
I've ran a pure infantry T'au list a couple times this edition and am planning on making a video about it but for a sneak peak about the list itself. You must have 6 breacher squads, 6 strike squads, 3 pathfinder squads (with rail rifles), and 3 maxed out kroot squads. From there you choose what characters you'd like to have to buff them. I always bring Shadowsun and Darkstrider personally.
I'm beginning to think not sadly. I think there is a chance that they might restock it because of popularity but I honestly don't know. I'd check local game stores. I've gone into some that still have it but it has been a little while.
@@CommanderNearsight Yeah heck. I still have like... 12 old crisis suits, I am gonna probbaly end up hacking them to pieces and modding them to be a bit taller, narrower... dunno what to do about the legs, those ball joints are REALLY in there lol.
