@Montym-ev6vl it's because the slash is already strong but the Vanguard has base health (100) which makes more easier to kill with just 2 hits or maybe 3
@@saaidKing9 archer class just isnt cut out to duel in comparison to a knight though. and i dont duel archers because they never get the chance to fight me cus they get one tapped by my highlander sword
Another one I've found which may not be useful to everyone is if you have a longer weapon with a longer recovery it can be advantageous to stick to wall and things you can hit your weapon on if you miss, that little bit of time you save hitting your weapon against a wall, ground or object can save you more times then not compared to swinging through a whiff, also keeping a opponent on a wall, against a post/column,etc can hinder their swings if they aren't paying attention to which side they unwind from. Keep a wall to your left, unwind from the right,or vice versa, while you can whip out a heavy they hit stop the wall more times than not.
1. Counters (almost making every atack with counter, but taking damage because of Feinters) 2. Swing manipulation (lack skill for me) 3. Utility attack (mostly Special and kick) 4. Spacing (calculating milimeters but not still good) 6. Awarness (getting better) 7. Positioning (no shame for retreat) 8. Group fighting. (Stealing kill hehehe) I realized "one handed spear better for my style" and playing with (please dont swear at me :)) I can list myself "72"... Can I identify myself as mental player ? But My death rate almost same whit kill rate. Trying getting better. Your videos are improving my skills . Respect to you bro. 🙌
I always love the tips and tricks type videos you put on the channel, they always give me something to improve on that I've never thought about before, I always see you play and try and copy it but I'm a bit rusty when it comes to the flow that you have in the group fights, I'm a level 700 almost 800 on console, my rating personally from experience and confidence would be a 89, not the greatest player in the game, but still a pub stomper, I love the game more than any other game, I've been thinking of wanting to get into the competitive side of chivalry, but I have no idea where to start bc I'm on console and I don't know anyone else who is a competitive player on console, I see all of these amazing players destroy everyone else and I'm trying to work to become one of them, if you have anything to say about the competitive side I would be very glad to hear it, thank you for helping the average joe improve, please keep up the videos and I would most definitely love to see more like this, have an amazing day ❤️
Appreciate the post ❤️ join the tournament grounds, frontlines or my discord. And someone will be able to help get you started (not home to give you links)
Good breakdown. I think spacing and footwork are some of the hardest skills to develop. At a high level, you can use them to dodge attacks without blocking, not get kicked, and outrange your opponent. I'll add another skill that wasn't covered too much: game knowledge. It's easier to fight people when you know the speed and range of their weapons. If I know that someone is doing an overhead with a maul, and that my stab is faster, I can get a hit in first. That requires some play time to develop.
Biggest thing for me was not to be a chickens*** when I became confident in counters I moved up the scoreboard. Jab,kick, take risks and learn your limits
Timmie 0-49 Gamepass level here. I would say my best trait is I'm not braindead. Mechanical skill comes and goes based on whether I'm awake and not burned out from work, but the awareness and mental aspect of the game never goes away. I can lean on that forever and do well, even if I'm too tired to counter everything, being too robotic to swing manipulate, and too lazy to use utilities or good footwork. Sometimes I'll do everything right if I'm feeling it, but it really just depends on outside factors more than in-game ability, at least for me.
Oh damn got jump scared by my own battle card in the video 😂 great overview though I'd probably give myself a like a 90, I don't dual that often so if I ever get caught against a dualist like Dave my ass is grass
You are a very skilled player, you should make a beginners guide because it feels like I'm always just swinging and blocking at random and hoping I don't die.
good video, guess i might be low 80, cant kill enough to win a losing battle though. At this point i can use any weapon and be at the top (maybe not with glaive, knife or map weapons). I even played archer melee only for a while
Personally, the most valuable skill that helped me start doing good in team objective was knowing the spawns and developing a “battle sense” for where the enemies are, where you are, and where the objective is. This way you can avoid getting into bad situations.
Going in reverse order. 8.) Maybe an 80, but probably more high 70s. 7.) Mid 70s, lets say 74-75 6.) 72 5.) 67 4.) 71 3.) 70 2.) Like a 66-68 but have been improving. 1.) Anywhere from a 91-97, probably one of my strongest stats as I can constituently keep my stamina even in 2 or 3 v 1s. I think overall that would put me at a 74 overall
I feel like usually the game starts making fun when it's a 1v2 in public lobbies. Most people I'm fighting don't stand a chance in a 1v1, but I'm always happy if I find a good player in TO and battle it out 1v1 Btw the most fun thing in the game is when your 1v3/4 and the first guy is crawling on the ground, he runs away waiting for the others to finish me, the second also crawls away. One you knock down the 3rd all are coming back as they realise the last guy won't survive either.
I personally liked starting in training games, with a few usually bad players and a bunch of bots in order to get used to the mechanics and start learning counters (that is especially good as bots tend to vary their attacks more than bad players therfore it's less likely to get in the habit to always counter slashes) You shouldn't try to learn super fancy stuff there obviously just the absolut core mechanics.
@@Viel_Glueck too late! 🤣 I love the Training Grounds mode. Definitely not helping hone my skills, as I just charge in like a twat… but! Its an absolutely amazing game and I’m having a lot of fun 👍
My rating? Depends on the match. Sometimes I'm a lobby stomping chad, other times I'm a bad player. Ping seems to be largely a part of it, I get minimum 70 ping to local servers, but lag spikes quite often. I can't touch people with less than 10 ping, nothing lands. The number of times I get the blue "blocked" or "countered" or "riposte" only for the attacker to land anyway is too darn high.
Im new to the game and I don’t understand the gameplay in the background, could someone please explain? Theres so many instances of Stridah third partying duels on duels servers when from my understanding you’re supposed to flourish and get a flourish back before enganging, or be kicked for RDMing which ive seen multiple times in the few instances ive played duel servers. How is this not RDMing?
Serious tips for archers. Make a habit of looking to the right or left (or both) very quickly in between *every* shot. Listen for footsteps. Never stand still even while aiming. And being up against any wall is always great cover
I don't see my player card in the video. Oh wait, I use siege weapons 😅 That aside with havin fun since Chiv 2 is pretty nice but I think I'm around 80 - maybe a 92 (depends)
I once thought I was one of the best in chiv, got into the chad lobbies and got humbled. Now I've been working on improving myself. Currently I consider myself a solid Lobby Stomping Chad about to hit Top Elite Player. I gotta work on my utility attacks and swing manipulation.
I rate myself an 85, i think i beat most people in a 1v1, but i can not handle multiple people at all. I also play in the first person, and I am probably that guy in the chat complaining about everyone who has no honor and is hitting me in the back because i suck at game sense, lol (this is also why i dont play shooters). I am usually the top or near the top in dual servers, though, and can beat just about everyone on team objective if i can get them alone but i always feel like I get outnumbered.
975 lvl, play mostly short sword vanguard, EU Amsterdam64ppl standalone server. I think my scores are about 75-85 I easily handle with the majority of players, but any chad (like LeMulot, BoreaVlad, OVA Steve) makes me sweat
Just roam around picking people off in tdm, to and ffa but also practice your one on one skills in ffa duel so your not useless in a 1v1 and preferably start w a long speed since it’s easy to learn and just the starting point for the chivalry two combat system. Also don’t fucking pick archer
Jabs are almost impossible to do on Xbox you have to press right joystick but if you hold it for a fraction of a second and I mean a fraction you crouch instead of punching and it's so annoying and impossible to play competitively or again pc players so to counter the short comings I am an Archer main it's harder and you do less damage and it's hard to get kills but at least I don't gotta jab😎
