It hurts my heart that people were cruel to you. You put in a lot of hard work & aim to do things with excellence while keeping God first. They should appreciate & understand what all goes into being a small business owner. Those people aren't true supporters of you (or anyone most likely) and I pray they learn to give others the grace they wish for themselves.

I was online when the sale went live and wanted to buy, but what I wanted sold out before I could. The ONLY emotion I felt was sheer JOY for you, because it means YOU are successful! And MANY are supporting you! For some reason, people think they can make demands of creators - both digital and physical - as though their consumption of free content makes them own the creator. It’s ridiculous. Don’t let a few people who were too lazy to do the work themselves get you down for being strong and disciplined enough to walk out your dreams. ♥️

The level of entitlement from some people is mind-boggling. They just can't cope with not getting what they want. It is toddler behaviour. You don't give in to temper tantrums, so don't give in to them. Just remember the percentage of customers who did manage to grab a mystery bag and are doing a happy dance. Focus on the happy customers. ❤ On a side note. I am impressed on how you don't mix up all these adress labels and bags and packages 😂. I am sure there is a very obvious system, but knowing me I would mix them all up 😅

Self entitled people getting angry because you sold out is BEYOND selfish! They want a deal SO bad that they will do damage to a small business because of their success. It’s beyond pitiful and disgusting. But it’s also so hard to see as a business owner who puts so much into her business. Proud of you for giving it to God and praying you don’t let those nasty bad apples ruin your whole launch which was SUPER successful!

People who take the time out of their day to send messages and emails for the sole purpose of making another person feel bad are on another level of troubled. And trust me, those actions says more about them as a person than it does you. You’ve worked so hard to achieve what you have and are still going strong!! You’re doing a great job, don’t mind the negative nasties, none of us do!

I cannot even imagine the range of emotions you experienced that day! Please know that those people in no way reflect who you are as a person or a business owner. I am so thankful to you! Now only are you one of the accounts I’ve cherished during my journey, but you also have an amazing business with amazing products! I received my “imperfect” item yesterday and it is absolute perfection! Thank you for all you do! ❤❤❤

That’s seriously what’s wrong with our society today, people be taking things way too serious and way too far. I might love it if people got mad at me for running out of soap or bath bombs. Also I found myself feeling mad at everyone yesterday and it was because of perimenopause symptoms. Oh Emily, my heart aches for you when you get those flood of emotions from the people who just can’t be pleased. People who buy grab bags with imperfect items and still expect a perfect item or people who expect you to always have stock on hand, impossible to please. I know those type of feedback always scream the loudest but try to remember that you can’t please everyone. As a small business owner, I rather keep the customers who love my work and will continue to support me than to keep the ones who are unhappy - there’s lots of other small business owners out there for them to choose from and possibly be happy with. I’ve gotten bad reviews from people who expected acrylic cupcake toppers when it’s stated in pictures and description that it’s a paper product. You can’t win them all. You give me and many others so much inspiration. Just add the negatives as a dollar to a jar, and buy yourself a treat to enjoy whenever you need it. ❤

I'd respond to the 1 star reviews and kindly call them out on their behavior. They're upset because your product offering was a success and they didn't get to purchase it. Confront them head on (kindly) but definitely respond so future new customers of yours who read reviews will know that the review they left is entitlement at it's finest and not based on any product quality or customer service aspects of your business. Readers will quickly discover how kind you are AND that the review is not based in any reality other than the reviewer.

As someone who's starting my own small business and terrified to launch, I really appreciate your transparency! You were the person who made me feel like maybe I was capable enough to make my passion a small business. I'm terrified to fail or recieve criticism, but seeing that I won't be alone in whatever hardships I face is encouraging! Fear and pain feel a lot less heavy when we share them together 🤍
