Hi Amy, We always list clothing with Tag size on title...then we say fits Small/Large or whatever is applicable...and then of course give all measurements. It's a tricky one. Those Guess Jeans with the Ankle Zippers gave me a flashback of Middle School also 😂❤
Thanks for sharing what comes through in the comments. I respect that gal's strategy to pump sales out to get to her monthly sales goal. I'm more of a long tail seller, so I prefer to sit on a piece for a little longer to get more for it, but I love hearing how differently we all play the game.
Those Viking horn S/P shakers and fish brooch are awesome! Great sales, Amy! The items you pick up for sale and your sold items are always amazing. Congrats on the great $ sales for July!
Omigosh! Such a cute little fish brooch! I've been dabbling in jewelry sales ---- I want to thank you Amy for that! So many interesting items out there to purchase for re-sale. I love this job!!
I didn’t know that Carhart made caps./Happy 20th Anniversary!!/I would have never noticed the little flaws in the china dog until you pointed them out. I’m glad that you were able to give it a new home. It would have been very sad if it had ended up in the landfill./I also love how you package everything so carefully. Congratulations on your increase in profit from your sales.
I list vintage under their tagged size. In my mind, a vintage buyer will expect the sizing inconsistencies and will know they need to search for their vintage size. I do include measurements always and note that the garment runs smaller than tagged.
Just sold a Nocona Men’s Western belt for $30! Always think of you when belts sell! I think it was Jack Valentine who mentioned he always picks up those studded punk rock grunge kinda’ belts. (My son wore those in high school)! I picked up one recently and it sold very quickly for my full ask of $38. Always appreciate your content!🙂
Love your content. Always learn something new! Have you ever found or sold L.E.N. Men’s belts? Very high quality and very expensive! I found one made of genuine bison leather, new. Retails for $295! I’ve had it listed for some time now at $150. Received an offer for only $50, but I did not accept. I don’t mind sitting on it, but I was just wondering if you have any thoughts. Also, can’t wait to see how your rummage sale goes! Looking forward the that video! 😊 Thanks!
Hi! Thank you so much! I haven’t ever come across that brand but it sounds like I need to keep my eyes out for it! I’d take a look at sold comps to decide for sure. Sometimes it’s worth waiting for a higher price on special items though. Although I accept many offers, I also counter offer on some items. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Last weekend I slashed prices on “liked” items - probably sent out hundreds of offers. It worked - thank goodness - I’ve been accepting reasonable offers without much hesitation to keep the ball rolling. I’ve also been selling sets of 2’s- be it sweaters, tops etc. on “less expensive” items that may move slower if sold on their own. I recognize some of my older “bad buys” and am trying to really move those out quickly- learning along the way. Fingers crossed all this continues to work out and I can sell, sell, SELL. Congrats on so many wonderful sales. The KG grey purse will haunt my dreams - it’s so fabulous. At least it’s better than the “I’m at school and I didn’t study for the test” dream !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🩷💚
That’s awesome!! Doesn’t it feel good to get rid of some of those things that have been hanging around!? I loved that gray purse too! If it had of been about 2” bigger, I would have kept it. Speaking of nightmares. I had one the other night, that my husband wanted me to play on his men’s softball team. At first I was like sure, then I realized can’t hit or catch a softball. He said, you committed, you have too. 😂😂😂
