Fosgate punch in a sealed box is amazing on picking up heavy metal drum rolls.

Guitars sound best on paper cone woofers, and kick drum repro needs something stiff for good sound, so a good medium would be a treated pulp cone woofer. I agree with Allyn on the tweeter. Metal domes are great for showing off, but shit for near field listening.

For metal a 3 way seems to be the best I've heard. Mid bass lacks in 2 way. Also speaker placement makes a huge difference too.

If anyone wanna know a good balance for metal. I decided to only had kick speakers at the bottom of my doors cuz I kinda like to feel the drums on the floor . The rear I just got better quality speakers but for actual bass, that’s when the trunk subwoofer comes in . After that upgrade anything else to ur liking

Can't believe that actually made a video over my question. I went with NVX 6x8 V series coaxials with a clarion compact amp. 75 rms x 4. I would've gone with components but I didn't want to modify my doors since I recently acquired a new car.

I know 1 thing. My surround sound system in my house bumps to Death-core and Electronic/Post-Hardcore music and is clear as hell. The breakdowns that have bass drops are beautiful. Might just install my surround-sound system in my car. xD My car sound's like complete garbage.

What is a PET or Balanced dome tweeter? Could you recommend a good 6x9 speaker for metal/Hard Rock that is using a high watage amp? These speakers will be connected strait to the amp. My old setup was some old (early 90s) Kenwood Performance Series speakers and they sounded amazing but now they're all worn out with the cone falling apart. I'm just looking for something that can match their clarity and get that powerful sound when Metal guitarists palm mute stroke a guitar to make that crunch sound. Any advice?

I listen to metal music I use 8 Peavy RX22 horn compression divers for my mids and highs from 1500 khz to 20,000 khz for midrange drivers 16 8's 8 for each door wired down to 2 ohm mono for 2khz down to 150hz. and for subwoofers I have the Kove Armageddon 15's for under 150hz tuned to 32hz ported. The subwoofers sound okay on rock but saving up for Eighteen Sound or B&C Pro Audio 21 inch subwoofer drivers it just sounds better with rock it has allot more kick drum than a car subwoofer can ever achieve trust me I tried multiple car subwoofers 15 inch JL Audio 15w4, Massive Audio SummoXL, Kove Audio Armageddon "what I use right now", American Bass XFL even cheaper brands like Pioneer Premier 12 inch, Audio Pipe TXX bd4 12". Then tried a set of pro audio 18's out for rock/metal the pro audio 18's are so far superior! "It's what I use for my home theater subwoofers" If you want some awesome sounding subwoofers in a very large car buy some pro audio subwoofers 18 or 21 inches they need a huge box though! and allot of amplifiers. designated amps 1 amplifier for Subwoofers, another amp for the 8" inch Midbass to midrange, and another amplifier Midrange to tweeter "compression horn drivers"

Yeah I just wasted 2:05 of my life.. I play nothing but metal, thrash, death, old school and I have 2 800w 12s and a 2000w amp. And 2 6x9s, and 4 6inch speakers. It sounds killer but my daughter played some rap bass drop shit and I was amazed how much my speakers could really thump.. it doesn't thump like that with metal.. too bad this guy doesn't seem to know shit about nothing🤘🤘
