I haven’t had sugar for 3 months and I don’t even want it now. It doesn’t take will power to stay away from it if you go without for long enough. I stopped consuming sugar to improve my mental health and it helped so much! If you’re trying to stop sugar, keep at it! It gets easier the longer you go without it.

@life is for living You get glucose from almost anything you eat, including bread and vegetables. No need to eat anything with added sugar in it. Plus, your body can make smaller amounts of glucose itself if needed.

@@trinarichardson6682 there's some aspects of that but the key is not necessarily the sugar itself. Rather, the danger is low fiber sources of sugar. As with all things, in moderation.

Let's not forget that stress is a major reason why we eat sweets. Most people go to sweets to help them deal with stress. It's not just sweets. Stress causes us to use smoking, drinking, drugs or whatever to jump on the addiction train. Many people feel hopeless when life is not working out the way they thought it would and the cycles of addiction continue. Giving up sugar is good but we also have to deal with stress. Otherwise we'll go from sugar to some other addiction to help us deal with stress. Then the cycle continues again because we aren't focused on what's causing so much stress in the first place.

Sugar in fruit isn’t bad because fruit has fiber which drastically slows the release of said sugar to a point at which the body can process it without damage.

I moved abroad to France 6 months ago, and it’s crazy to realize how this is something I still struggle with because of the eating habits I had back home in the US. I’m ready to change though this is our wake up call really for anyone trying to make a lifestyle change. There are many benefits to letting go of sugar , when you’re tempted to eat, remember that the healthier version of you is telling you to stop. Letting go of sugar is the best thing we can do for ourselves..

I have quite sweets for 6 months. No candy, cake, ice cream, soda, fruit juice and fruit. I still eat bread and if my wife's recipe have a small amount of sugar I still eat it. The results are incredible my hair has thickened my hair loss seems to have stopped. Despite having quite my workout routine a while back I haven't lost mass the way I used to if I hadn't worked out. My weight doesn't fluctuate the way it used to and I haven't been sick since I quite. I used to get colds all the time because I work in a freezer and would always cause me to get 3 or 4 colds a year. Sugar is indeed poison.

@XsiX I can tell you this and it may sound cliche but you won't even miss it after you quit. To get started I would just put some artificial sugar in milk which is unhealthy too but it help fight the cravings. I stopped craving sugar after a few weeks, stoped being tempted watching my wife and daughter eat ice cream after dinner after a few months. It started as an experiment to see if I could now I know I'm never going to eat it again. You can do it too!

Don't eat processed carbs either. The part where it says to have carbohydrates, proteins, and fats could have been explained a little better. Carb heavy food like pasta and bread is not good for you if eating it consistently. When digested, these foods get converted into sugar as well.

I stopped drinking anything with added sugar in it when I was in my early teens (because I didn't like how it feels in my mouth, not because I was a health freak at such a young age). So I only have a glass of milk in the morning and drink water during the rest of the day. My problem is with sweets and chocolate. Can't seem to cut those out of my diet. So now I'm watching whatever anti-sugar video I can find to be more motivated to cut them out 😅

Whole fruits should be your only major source of sugar (other natural sugars found in things like vegetables and dairy are negligible) Raw, unpasteurized honey is fine once in a while (to sweeten coffee, for example) Pure, clean 100% maple syrup on rare occasions is fine (light amber colour)

Obviously, it’s still possible to lose weight on any diet - just eat fewer calories than you burn, right? The problem with this simplistic advice is that it ignores the elephant in the room: hunger. Most people don’t like to “just eat less,” as it may result in having to go hungry forever. Sooner or later, many will likely give up and eat without restriction, hence the prevalence of “yo-yo dieting.” While it should be possible to lose weight on any diet, some appear to make it easier and some to make it much harder. The main advantage of the low-carb diet is that it may cause you to want to eat less. Even without counting calories, overweight people tend to eat fewer calories on low carb. Thus, calories count, but you don’t need to count them.

it’s only been 10 days since i’ve had sugar. i feel a HUGE difference. my energy has been stable which i haven’t felt in a long time. My energy usually dips after i eat but i have not felt that way since removing sugar and starches from my diet. the cravings went away after the 5th day.

@@shineyw9870 are you vegan as well. I was a vegetarian for 10 yrs and still ended up with some serious health issues not if my doing. I asked my doctor about going vegan and he said try it. He said it is a very healthy way of eating. 2 months now an it’s all good. I am maintaining my weight by eating avocados and nuts. They are very high in the good fats. Don’t consider a diet, consider a lifestyle change that will be with you for the rest of your life. 🇨🇦💕

This is a good video. I did keto for 4 months to really cut my sugar addiction. Now I mostly do carnivore with some honey on my Greek yogurt but that’s it for day to day. And the only time I eat a real dessert is on birthday, spouse birthday, thanksgiving and Christmas apple pie made at home of course. The rest of the year none. Maintaining a weight of 115 (5’4” female , age 30), no stomach fat, back fat etc. I know if I wanted to treat myself more I could. But I choose not to.

I say everything in moderation. I remember having KFC when I was growing up, but only once a year on my birthday and If I shoveled a foot or more of snow my mom with get me Chinese take out, chicken and broccoli with an egg drop soup. All those other times I've eaten it's been home made food.

Does somebody have a tip on how to gain weight without sugar, I have a too fast metabolism what causes me too have hormon imbalance instead of weight gain when I eat sugar, I went sugarfree for a year and my hormons are balanced now but instead I am underweight

It does not matter what kind of food you eat if you eat more than what your body needs to maintain its weight you will gain. eat more fatty foods they have no sugar and more calories. nuts, butters fatty cuts of meat etc

I’m guessing is because alcohol has a cap to how much you can drink it, whereas sugar you can eat it all the time

Sugar in Europe used to be called spices and only available to the nobility who quickly got hooked on sugar in Europe. Was controlled from Spain and Portugal by the Muslims or Moors the European had an insatiable hunger for sugar. Which motivated them to find a way to bypass the Muslims to get it and the rest is history.

Cant live with too much sugar either, what they mean is when u crave sugar eat fruits instead. It never said to change ur entire diet.

The only thing that concerns me about this report is when he says have 'carbohydrates', fats and proteins at every meal.... you can get your carbs from fruit & veg... but that needs to be explained properly! Carbs from processed foods will only create glucose and insulin spike. So stick to getting your carbs via fruits and veg.

Im cut out all sugar. I'm 50 and overweight. Sad my wife is so weak and clueless and overweight as well. She won't stop sugar. Sad. Sugar will kill her I tell her. Sad to see. Smoking and sugar will end her life early
