Get copper sulphate crystalz (1 TBSP) in a mesh bag and drop it in skimmer basket. I pay $12/year since I got it 7 years ago... I also use cotton balls instesd of sand in filter
@@billwesolowski2609 1) Never use with shock. 2) Never use more than two ounces at a time (I dose with about 1 ounce). 3) Dissolve in water - or a water bottle - and broadcast evenly around the pool while it's circulating. 4) Clean the filter the following week. Crystalized copper sulfate tends to sink and settle, and the settling is where you're likely running into trouble. You'll have better results if it's liquified. And of course, make sure your alkalinity is within range.
Dear Sir, thanks for these videos. I have a big pool for only decorative purpose, it's about 1 meter deep. It is not for swimming so nobody goes in the pool. My pool has a layer of dirt/algae on the bottom surface, and I have never tried this copper sulphate yet, I only use chlorine. So I wonder how do you clean the bottom surface, does this blue water cleans the bottom too? And how much to add for how much water? Thanks so much!
copper sulfate will kill bacteria but it does not get rid of organic matter like body oil, sun screen lotions, bird dropping, and thing like urine. You need some chlorine to oxidize these organic. There is a good chance what you are seeing is organic matter that has not been oxidized or you water is to hard and some calcium is dropping out. If your pool is balanced then some chlorine should work.
