As a Yae main since the day she's released, I definitely agree 100% with what Zajef said about her. Definitely one of the best Yae reviews out there. 👍👍 -Yae pretty strong -Don't compare Yae to Fischl -Yae wonky to play at first, but when you understand and get used to her, she does pretty well and fun to play👍 -Her best teams are Quicken teams -You use her a lot with Fischl
@@gigyro I would say no, the dmg diff with the widsith isnt big enough but if you really like her and dont mind the bow I would say yeah (I did it with Childe lol)
@@gigyro Well tbh no its not, you have 0 guaranty to get it, the flute (if you dont have Yoimiya) n the rust are pretty low-mid weapons, akuouamaru is good but not worth unless you have a specific claymore main dps you really want to improve. The spear is definitely a good option as well but it comes back in banner very frequently so its not that worth to risk your primos here. Sorry but I would recommand to do 10-20pulls at best and then stop if nothing decent comes, solar pearl is good enough for Yae
She was my last piece in the “braindead daily stuff team”. Yae, Nahida, Kazhua and Koko. After 2 years and a half of daily quests and domains farming, I just want comfort while waiting for really interesting stuff drops (main story quest, new regions, etc..) COMFORT OF USE IS THE NEW META. Let’s get real: nobody gives a s*it about abyss anymore…
Spent 60 pulls for her, kirara, and verity I pull because i want my Ei to have her three pets (crow, fox, cat) Then i was wondering what team is good for this fox Your video helps a lot, thank you.
What Team is the strongest for dolphin Al Haitham Al Haitham + Kuki + Fishl + Nahida Al Haitham + Kuki + Raiden + Nahida Or a Variation with Yae Al Haitham + Kuki + Yae + Nahida I feel like Fishl isn`t fing mutch damage in my Al Haitham teams so I am ending up using raiden, which is a C2 engulfing Raiden and I am kind of switching on field Units. I also already tested Quicken vs Hyperbloom for my Alhaitham and Quicken does mutch quicker abyss clears for my build. What I want to know is, is Yae a damage increase in the Team somewhere? Because I feel Fishl isn't realy suiting in Al Haitham aggrevate.
i want her 😭😭😭. But i just lost my 50/50 on her banner and well Kazuha is next so as much as i want her but i also want Kazuha so i'm afraid i have to skip her.
can this team work out: Yae Alhaitham Yao Fischl? My nahida and kuki is on another team....or any other recs for a yae alhai team? kazu or zl in it instead?
Ever since dendro was released i didn't stop abusing her, both in overworld and in abyss, obiviously paired with nahida. If we are not talking about single target, in which my HuTao Double hydro is my best one, she is in my strongest team, with nahida/fischl and petra zhongli or baizhu, just losing by a bit to Raiden National in heavy enemys Aoe. She is comfortable to use in overworld and in abyss vs the annoying bosses (wenut, simon, wolflord) so for me she is my most used unit along with nahida. If you pair her with fischl and use her on field she is way stronger than you can immagine, since every auto fischl does 10k damage (so10x2), nahida does 35k every 2 sec and yae more than 40k every 1,5 sec (with 2 auto attack and one totem aggravate, mine does about 32k aggravate totem, 10k non aggravate, and 12k auto attack aggravate) in 10sec the damage is a lot. Regarding the EM vs ATK Sands, i suggest EM if you are on field or totem damage focussed, if you instead need that 30k damage more to kill enemys with a single burst you can go ATK, since that's the skill with a high multiplier. Her skill does not feel bad to use to me but hey. Overall i agree with the video, her best teams are on field with fischl/nahida or nahida/tighnari quickswap. I disagree putting her strength JUST A BIT higher than Keqing tho, she is way stronger if you compare the team with nahida/fischl by a lot, not by little...
I'm RIGHT HERE, this video dropped RIGHT NOW... EMERGE EDIT: I will always stand by the fact they should have had her Totems trigger like Ganyu Burst. It should cycle between all enemies in range.
Or just have it trigger more often, so it averages out better? Granted, that is a dps bump, with potentially more aggravate procs and all. Another option that doesn't mess with reaction count as much, is increased aoe on the hits.
The other way to optimize Yae E animation time is to use her E as a movement option. It's about as fast as dashing, with no stamina cost. In a lot of abyss floors with multiple waves, you often need to reposition between waves, and Yae's E is great for those times. The other thing Yae can do is set-up during an invulnerable phase of a boss, where all characters have 0 DPS.
@@thebrigade7684 One example that I have, is against the big dorito boss is to get around it so that you aren't in it's AOEs. You have plenty of time to dodge out of the way. You don't do it 3 times in a straight line, you do it in a V shape that helps you position better. You don't do it to dodge incoming attacks, you do it to not spend stamina when you aren't dodging. This is great against fights like the Wenut where you have to run around the map and it's annoying
Yae is such a good comfort pick for exploring and doing basically any content in the game, her skill is so comfortable to use, just EMERGE RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW and watch everything die, it's very satisfying for me, i'm so glad i got her in her first banner.
You know what... i'm gonna play some Yae. I had her benched for the longest time because i don't like playing her in abyss, but i forgor that overworld is a completely different beast
Yae is one mechanic away from being god tier: if she had invulnerability on her skill animation and gained anything from dodging enemy attacks with the skill, like energy recharge, or call a bolt on a successful dodge she would be one of my fav units.
it would be pretty cool. The only problem with that is units with skill-reliant abilities always seem to be balanced around you proccing them as though they didnt require skill, making them worse than more simple units
Her first ascension passive should have been a part of base kit. Instead of it, she should have had a passive that would unleash one instance of her charged attack at the closest nearby enemy whenever one of her turrets is destroyed (from the place of its' destruction).
One thing to be said is that despite Yae not having invulnerability frames with her turrets, when you get used to playing her, it becomes second nature to dodge with the turrets. It's not like enemies have terribly unpredictable patterns. It's been months since I've been hit while placing my turrets.
Nobody mentions the Yae AFK teams with zhongli nahida flex. I know its not very efficient for abyss but its a fun team for open world stuff and even abyss sometimes. Just use the skill and stand afk while the enemies die
That actually is a good abyss team when you're not standing around afk. Yae/Nahida/Zhongli/Fischl with Yae on-field is one of my preferred abyss teams with her.
I didn't like her when she came out but for some reasons she became one of my favourite characters. One of my best built character, 10/10/10, and got her C1 today.
Grats. Enjoy her high afk damage. Build her well and you’ll hit 30-50k nonstop effortless without even a team combo. Put her in hypercarry team, you’ll be dealing 100-200k totem strikes :) 😊
As a Yae haver since version 2.5, you are on point on most of the things you said about her. She has acquired a solid niche when Dendro came in, which is I am satisfied with.
I can confirm for the last one: it was never double damage, it was always a hidden +5.879543% damage bonus if she says Right Here, Right Now, Emerge. To this day, that hasn't been patched out so we still enjoy it. What's recently been discovered is that if she says "Come on out" at any point in time, that speicifc turret actually gets a hidden interaction where it attacks twice with the 2nd attack doing 4.22803% Atk. So it's not much, but against single targets it can help with your ICD.
"Right here", "Right now" and "Emerge" is her voice line skill when you use directional keys whenever you cast her E. If you don't use directional keys and just press E(You go backwards from where you are facing), she says "Come on out" and "Show them". It has been in the game since she was released.
@@internetuser4138 ayooo nice. Hopefully you enjoy her. Her gameplay isn't that immersive, but I would say her gameplay is really nice for casual players which makes up the majority og the player base.
Despite baizu interruption res not working on multi attacks you can use her casts to move away from attacks meaning baizu can help more in that regard than with other characters if u use mikos long casting animation correctly
Thanks for affirming Yae makes Tighnari team better. I'm pulling for her now for my Tighnari team since I lack extra damage even though my Fischl is already solid.
I always play her in quickbloom, kokomi as her hydro, then nahida and kazuha. Pretty fun and surprisingly good in abyss, been 36* abyss with this team of Yae.
Yae's power lies in her flexibility, both in and outside dendro teams. You can basically put her in any team and she will perform good, which is why I would put her above Alhaitham on priority list, because, while he is better in what he is meant to do than Yae, he is limited to Dendro teams while she is not.
Agreed, he also hyperfocused on the Keqing comparisons too much when Yae is a staple for Haitham quicken teams (that rival QB at C0R1 investment) and Tighnari teams, as well as several non-Dendro teams such as Kokomi taser and Raikou. Most people use her as an off-fielder so comparing her with Keqing is eh, her closest comparison has always been Beidou.
Bc he is dendro, he can flex as an enabler and just does a lot more dmg anyways It's flexibility vs efficiency, but haitham being able to flex as an on field nahida is pretty damn good
@@Mantoire also sauce? Do you have a magical Yae rotation that puts haitham rots with her down from ~27s? I find that she underperforms vs QB AND YAE-LESS SPREAD bc of how slow she is
"he is limited to Dendro teams" - that's a weird argument. It's the same as "yae is limited to electro teams" More like, he's limited to being an on-fielder while she is not
I had 171 pulls (at 63 pity with no guarantee) to bring home Yae and Yoimiya. I ended up with Qiqi (83 pity), Yae (85 pity), and C1 Diluc (72 pity) 🥲 Spent all my starglitter and stardust pulls too. I'm now at 25 pity, I doubt I'll snipe Yoimiya by the time the banner is up. So much for saving up for 6 months.
tell me about it, saved up for a long time only to get Mona at 90 pity then Nahida at 80 something, hoped to get baizhu but got keqing at 83 and never made it. Now I'm on 68 and just want yae miko... Oh god but the worst thing was i didn't get kaveh until 83+60=143 pulls into the baizhu banner... I like tcg but I feel so hated by this game
i've been playing and clearing with Yae/Keqing/Nahida/Mona (with prototype) without a problem since Nahida came out and 36starring everything with c0 widsith. Waifu > meta
The biggest upside using Yae compared to other electro dps like Raiden or Keqing, is all of her attacks don't mess up with grouping. Which makes her a better mob killer or even in general. Even if the enemies start to move, you can easily swap back to your Kazuha and regroup them, which basically a perpetual crowd control, and makes her the electro dps that has superior synergy with Kazuha because you can swap off to Kazuha and utilise his low cd E skill more, without losing dmg on Yae because she's an off field dps.
For how her play style feels feels, I rarely play her on pc but she never leaves my team on mobile. She’s really good for boomer mechanics, even with the built in dash.
28 minute and got no awnser to what miko fit in lol such question should be awnsere in 2 lines then elaborate and not just give anwser diluted in a sea of words
Yae fit in the team where fischl fit, either replacing her or pairing her together, such team are yae fischl dendro anemo, yae fischl hydro anemo, yae fischl tighnari/alhaitham dendro and many more there so much team to list that its pointless to pointing out each individual yae team, as long you understand how team archetype work there shouldn't be a problem on picking team for yae
@@tasha2749 i was kinda aware already on how she could be used, but i hoped to have unique take or more perspective, but like i said it was way too diluted in his video. Anyway thanks for the anwser. If i wasnt savinh fir other char i actualy would like yae, she is more fun and actualy less clunky to use than people say
Since Dendro I really enjoy playing her. Skyward Atlas as a weapon just for consistency. So much so, that I am thinking about not pulling on Yois Banner for Kiarara, but instead on Yaes for the chance of getting her C2.
Got her at 15 pity yesterday pulling for kirara so tbis is useful, not even mad I got her, it was my earliest pity ever and it was still 50/50 and i got kirara shortly after, my yae is already is already pretty strong too, not even fully built but in a quicken team im seeing her totems hit for 30k already, im ready for whenever the wenut comes back into the abyss now cause she was apparently really good against it when it was in abyss.
yae kazuha nahida kokomi feels really nice, fischl swapping out kazuha if you dont need grouping. her ult hitting 250k C0 feels p good. also tighnari yae nahida zhongli is fun
I destroyed this abyss second chamber with Yae, Nahida, Fischl and Baizhu. Cleared the first and last floor second chamber in less than a minute but i do have Yae C2, Nahida C2, Fischl C6 and Baizhu C0.
Yae is the kind of character that is a fantastic 'investment character". She gets better and better with every investment you make: talent and level upgrades, weapon upgrades to Kagura, although she can use a variety of more accessible weapons, constellations, and so forth. She's flexible in teams and can be off field, burst oriented, or on field as a driver. She can wear a variety of artifact sets from a 2pc 2pc variety of sets to four piece Gilded, Thundering Fury, Thunder Soother, etc... She can function as a "support" for a Raiden team if you want. She can be played in Hyperbloom if that's what you want. She benefits from EM essentially double dipping in it. She just gets so much damn better. If there's ONE unit you'd ever want to C6, it's her. It's disgusting the level of power you achieve with it. It's actually broken. AFK gaming doesn't begin to describe how powerful she is.
Yae is the perfect gacha character for a game like this, if you get her you can make her so fucking strong that she'll never leave your team, but if you skip her that's completely fine because there's competitive alternatives to what she does, so there's never any FOMO to get her, but if you like her and you want her you can make a LOT of great use of her kit.
@@cleod7439 except fischl doesn’t do huge aoe damage in quick burst rotations. Good build yae can hit 100k each tenko thunderbolt. And since c6 is mentioned, what he said is true. Once you did c6 her, none of electro units would be on par with her except Raiden. The good side is, c3 Raiden + c6 Yae is such a fucking insane combo where every just dies effortless. Also being used in speed runs and multiwave situations. The more invested you are to Yae, the more she’s not gonna leave your team since her totems on c6 easily does 30-50k strikes. Buff them up with kazuha and it goes even higher. And her totems doesn’t cost anything.
I really like Yae, expecially her burst, but I'm guaranteed with 0 pity and 40 pulls and I'm not gonna waste any of them on a banner with such terrible 4*. Sorry Yae, maybe you'll come home on your 3rd rerun.
@@sylent0253 eh, QoL with much better healing and shields + dendro res for more EM + Baizhu's Aggrevate damage bonus + more dendro application for more quickens and aggrevates seems worth to me. Also gives more on field time for Yae to do more auto aggrevates and Fisch procs. May be slightly less damage, but feels a hell of a lot better to play, imo.
@@doctorshiki20 With Nahida on the team, Baizhu's Dendro application doesn't matter at all for Quicken uptime because the aura lasts for at least 11s, which her skill already covers by itself for every enemy.
I find her to be my most flexible, strongest and most used electro unit these days specially one that don't require xinqui/yelan and can perform great in both st and aoe and I have every electro unit built with some cracked artifact since its my fav element by far since start of game (when people use to shit on it). While I'll not disagree with zajeff regarding anything coz he knows his stuff well but I'll like to give my few points as I think unit is slightly underrated by some (usually feelcrafters). *Field-time req* - Its exaggerated and not an issue in most practical situation since you do your 1st EEE at very start of your rotation while running towards enemies and she have longer rotations with very high dpr teams. Her onfield requirement if you compare is very similar something like kazuha doing 2 e and q in 15 sec rotation vs yae doing 2 EEE and 1 q in 24 sec rotation if you play it right. So her field-time is very highly exaggerated specially in teams where you play her as solo electro, you don't need to always use her q. To all people who exaggerate just learn her rotation and stop feel crafting plz. *her vs fishl*- Fishl is a very strong unit but her strongest team are with yae these days (yae fishl sucorse/kazuha dendro). In Al and tighnari teams yae just simply better unit, she have a frontload of aoe nuke which is very good when you just need to get rid of a low hp wave like mushrooms, nobushis, small machines etc, and much better aoe electro spread than fishl and like zajeff talked she does proc much more aggrevate in aoe. *keqing vs yae*- I find her own dmg very underwhelming in st.. I feel like she is carried a lot by fishl and her scalings are still shit.. Yae just feels like a unit that synergies as well with fishl with actual scalings and a passive that dont make em feels that bad when you not aggrevating. Tri-core of agg is already very strong so its fine to use keq I guess if you meeting dps req or you like keq gameplay more. *vs hb kuki* - Al-yae is his ceiling team and its very high dps but harder to play so i'll not disagree if you say Al-kuki hb variations better than AL-yae since I know for many that ceiling is hard to reach. *overworld* - She is soo good and afk.. *pull value* -I don't focus on pull value that much since there are soo much "it depends". There are soo many units these days so I mostly looks into what happen if people who like yae spent into her teams and Yae teams are very strong in both aoe and st and flexible and she synergize really well with op supports(sucrose, kazuha, nahida, even kokomi) and some dps (fishl, Al, tighnari). Her weapon options are also good since you hv 2 std 5 star catalyst and widsith is one of easier gacha weapons to get (coz std) and is very strong. So pull if you like , she will not disappoint you otherwise don't. *team building* - Good teams at all level of investment, cheaper ones like yae fishl yaoyao sucrose being one of highest st and good in aoe and expensive ones like spread variations. Also artifact choices are very flexible.
I only recently found you and started watching you, so Although i have watched most of the old ask zajef vids, i never know when they where made or if they are out of date. So for me making a new 1 and repeating questions only helps.
she does take time having to set up her turrets but once its set up it will always deal damage and has 100% uptime, once its dropped its smooth sailing from there you just have to refresh it
Decided to finally pulled for her and won 5050! The only reason why is because of her synergy with tighnari. My tigh is quite invested and i like his playstyle so much but have to settle with fishl + beidou for his team. And the 2nd reason is because i already have kagura
I wanted so bad to do a team with keqing but I had to skip fischl for fear of getting baizhu and ruin my guaranteed for kazuha but yae look so pretty could she fit with keqing ?
@@Furinasupremacyy11 yeah goodluck w Ur pulls! I hope u get a random fischl off banner lmao, you can go for yae once u get fischl since they pair rlly well tgt
I skipped her on her first banner because I was underwhelmed with her kit and teams but LOVED her design and character. Finally pulled her using my guaranteed and also got c2 Kirara out of 30 pulls so it’s a win for me!
This game has just decided for me that I’m a yae main, got c2 really early while rolling layla cons and got kagura’s first pity this banner. I’ve loved tighnari since release so the fact that they synergize so well makes me happy. I wonder, the team that you kept showing used Zhongli as a shielder. I use baizhu in that slot because it seems like he brings similar damage buff potential to the table especially because he feels like a natural Deepwood holder. Is that accurate, or is one any significant amount better than the other?
Assuming tighnari team with yae fischl zhongli, you have 2 high damage electro units. It is a shame if there is no elemental shred for electro. Zhongli skill shred both electro and deadro for 20%. He can also hold deepwood set for additional deadro shred, so he is better than Baizhu
A big plus Yae has over Fischl are her cooldowns and the ability to apply electro fast with NAs and actually do damage with them still. When I only had Fischl there were way too many moments when Abyss clock was ticking and my only option was to charge attack or perish I guess. My favorite teams to play right now are Alhaitham/Baizhu/Yae/Fischl or Nahida, and even if it's not mathematically optimal, it's comfy as hell and gets the job done.
Fischl electro app have almost 100% uptime, if u have a problem with fischl uptime maybe you just don't play her correctly or doesn't have enough er, either you cast her burst before her e run out or u just forgot that her q exist, if u do q swap 10s/12s if c6 e swap, u should have almost 100% uptime on her even if u don't play her perfectly
@@tasha2749 is the better rotation q first or e first cause i mostly do q first cause her oz is still generating particles. and then her e next. i also forgot that 5 seconds of downtime is kind of the norm in most teams even in internat you spend that downtime to battery xiangling.
One of the most beautiful characters in the game that's 5* and also shows every aspect of her design while paying (unlike some characters that have great design but only used for Q-swap) Never regretted pulling, building and playing her, really happy that she now has better team comps
Big disagree on the usefulness of the c2 bonus range. If you play Yae against some of the more mobile enemies ( like the consecrated beasts), you will notice they often move away from the totens.
I only just saw the thumbnail and I have no idea who you are, but I simply wanted to say that "Ask Zajef" in all caps looks like keyboard smashing to me and it's very funny, anyway have a good day!
