Zajef has hot takes which is fine but this has to be like one of those dumpster fire takes. I think it’s a classic case of being attached to what you have the most experience with which is fine because it is after all his opinion- It’s not a theory crafting tier list rather more of in the line of he’s had Aquila the longest and used it extensively so that’s probably why he ranks it so high. Lost prayer was my first 5 star weapon and I would also rank it pretty high even though it’s probably not as great as I might think

Nobody pulls for standard banner weapons. So the best standard banner weapon is the one that works FINE on the most characters. The one that if you get, you can spread it around nicely until you actually pull on the weapon banner to replace it. I literally only use Aquila on Qiqi and for Bennett I use either Sumeru craftable or the Alley Flash for base ATK

Aquila Favonia best? Lmao bruh.. unironically one of Zajef's worst takes. It's kinda weird you would rank a weapon lower just cause you personally don't have anyone you'd use it on. Skyward Harp is a strong stat stick for any dps bow character, not just Fischl. Whereas Aquila Favonia is only good on Bennett and even then Fav and Sapwood exist.

Harp and lost prayer are the best hands down. You can slot those 2 on so many characters and they'll be better than any F2P option almost always. Lost prayer is underrated because it's been dogshit for such a long time, but now you can slot it on wanderer, neuvillette, rizzly, hell even klee is good now with furina.

Harp being good is so based, BiS other than sometimes elegy on Sara, very good on ganyu, the extra crit damage helps it outperform BiS 4*s easily across the board, BIG FAN

One of the few times I hard disagree with Zajeff, Aquila is a fine weapon if bennet is key to your account. Harp and lost prayers are definitely better because they make building stats much more comfortable and it’s just a big stat stick that can’t do any bad. If a weapon is great on lots of characters, imo it’s goated af.

For the first time I got to disagree almost completly with Zajef. Jadewing is awesome on Xiao and Cyno (Staff of Homa is better, yeah, pull on weapon banner then), I rather use Skyward Blade on bennet (much more energy efficient, GL getting Energy/HP on Aquilla). Harp is super flexible, works in almost every bow character (maybe not BiS but why generics characters are good and an generic weapon is bad?). Skyward Spine is an second catch. Not even mentioning on "You pull on weapons for characters" talking about Standard Weapons.

Yeah Zajef missed with this one. Putting Aquila as the goat because it's really good on Bennet and arguing that a weapon only needs to be really good on one character to be amazing, just to drop Jade-Winged Spear down to "fine" specifically because of the lack of users is contradictory. No one pulls for standard weapons, you just get them, so they should be ranked based on how useful they are as stand-ins for characters whose BIS weapons you don't have. And in that regard, I think all of the Skywards do a pretty solid job.

Aquila's worth is base on how much of a big deal bennett is in your account. However, as time goes by we can see bennett will start to lose steam the more we get characters like furina that doesn't scale with atk. Additionally skyward blade having ER can be a lifesaver for people that don't have the artifacts that have enough ER. Aquila is 100% a cope ass take, I see more value in 5* standard crit weapons because crit is a harder stat to get than more healing and ER. A skyward harp literally is worth 60 CV last time I check and that can be a big deal for people that likes to play a character but don't have the crit because then it can be use by most dps that likes crit.

Skyward blade is underrated , its the strongest weapon on Bennett on my opinion cause the ER , its also extremely good with xingqiu and one of the best options for jean which is a very good unit after furina

A bit weird how Aquila is the GOAT because Bennett is versatile, but Skyward Spine all the way at the bottom despite Raiden also being somewhat versatile

I have to hard disagree with you on Aquila. The weapon is trash sure it’s high base attack for bennett but skyward blade has ER and a good base attack as well. I think sapwood blade is a better choice for bennett then Aquila and let’s be real Aquila is only used for bennett. The passive is also pretty useless if that heal really mattered I think skill issue considering bennett just heals himself with burst which you will be getting more often with a weapon with ER substat then running Aquila just saying.

As a person who actually looks at the numbers my carries do with bennett, Skyward Blade is a better version of Aquila unless you're stacking a lot of pyro particles in your team L tier list putting one of the most useless weapons up above the real goat, Harp

Honestly? Skyward Spine. It was the first one I ever got, right about during the time where I started gearing for abyss for the first time. It helped me enormously, being able to play both Xiangling and Raiden with good weapons. My Raiden has never lost SS since.

I feel like Skyward Harp is now much better for Fischl since the release of the golden troupe set since you will hit diminishing returns at some point with all that Elemental Skill Damage. So the minor crit stats and highest possible base attack on a bow are coming in a little more handy :)

I just got Aquilla on standard banner and uhh .. I don't think I'll even level it. Bigger Bennet buff is nice and all .. but I'd rather have the 46 to 78 ER on him and I hate swapping weapons for specific teams so I'd rather use the one that works on all of em. I also hate wasted passives and that things passives are all but useless. Sadge no Dehya for my Neuvi.

Never seen someone cope so hard to put a weapon with the most useless substat and the most useless passive at God tier just becauae it made the one only character to give 90 more atk ish to the teammate (compared to skyward blade which has energy rechagre). Most weapon banners nowaday no longer feature standard weapon so almost every 5 star standard weapons people have are from standard banner and off rate so most people almost never "pull for the characters" except if you played in the first year of the game. They just get it because god of gacha want them to. Therefore standard weapon tierlist should be accounted for how universal it is to use, even when it's not their BiS, but they are still better than most 4 stars option. For me, my GOAT standard weapon would be jade wing spear, it is my first weapon that i got as an off rate, and i just so happen to have Xiao too. But then Hutao came out and i liked her playstyle more so i gave her JWS and she was one of my best DPS. After then i pulled for her C1 and Homa so now the JWS belongs to Xiangling (i'm too lazy to fish for the catch anyway) which is my point for how universal the JWS is, and it is also aplicable for harps, lost player (used to be bad since there were only Klee but now more DPS that can use this) because crit stat is super good for most dps characters, that they are better than 90% of 4 stars wp and can compete for signature as a good stat stick.

I just got the lost prayers today on the standard banner though I would've like my first Mona. As long as I don't get skyward pride I'll be happy.

I pulled Aquila just recently, and I was kinda happy about giving it to my Bennett... until i realized i already have an Alley Flash (don't ask, it was a long time ago), so i did some calcs to compare and it seems like Aquila would be only about a 4% increased damage on my Xiangling... i was not happy about the results.

havent taken skyward spine off shenhe since i got it. the high base attack and er is so nice! esp since i play cryo carries that dont actually need fav to charge their bursts (wriothesley and chongyun). and since its good on raiden and xiangling too, i feel its underrated. skyward blade is so nice when you have only one fav and multiple sword characters that need er. the base atk is high enough for bennett and you get a crap ton of er. still waiting on skyward harp tho…

PJWS and Harp are the best because they are usually positioned between the best 5star and the best f2p option for many characters. there might be f2p or 4star options that are better than them for some characters, but those weapons are usually not shareable between many characters the way these 2 weapons are.

Its the way he compaired Amos and other 5 star weapons to each other to determine how useful/valuable said weapon would be for a character but by that same logic why would you use Aquila if Mistsplitter exist not only does it have the same base attack as Aquila but an INFINITELY better passive that can be used on damn near every sword character. You could even make the argument that Skyward Blade is better because sure it may not have a higher base attack for Bennett but its still higher than all of his 4 star options outside of alley flash which is gacha exclusive anyway and has a high ER stat that he can make use of for instructors, writing off players who dont have a good instructor set to talk about why Aquilia is better doesnt seem fair tbh.

The context of the tier list is just off in general. Would really see this as more 'The game dropped a five star weapon onto either as a weapon banner loss or just via your acquaint fates, what should you do with it? How sad should you be?" People generally aren't pulling for these weapons specifically, they're generally a consolation prize. Would have preferred which standard weapons worth investing if they drop into lap?

On the subject of goat 5 star weapons. I find Primordial Jade Cutter to be quite great at just being usuable by pretty much everyone. I know full well that's it's not a standard banner weapon but it's one of those weapons that you don't exactly intentionally pull for. I pulled mine when I was pulling for the Xiphos Moonlight for my Kuki. I got Xiphos Moonlight as well as PJC and since then it was held by my Nilou but now it's held by my Furina. It may not be the BiS for anyone really, but its a great enough placeholder for many characters. You're a hp scaling dps/sub dps? - here's a 20% hp boost and a fxck ton of crit rate. You're an atk scaling dps/sub dps? - here's some atk and a fxck ton of crit rate. You're an hp scaling support? - here's 20% hp boost. One way or another, most sword users can find uses on any of the things this sword gives. Other than EM scalers or ER hungry ones of course. But those are weapons types that you can easily get. EM? craftable weapons like Iron Sting will be good enough. ER hungry? Fav is easy to get and is just the best at that. TLDR; even if you lose to this sword in a 50/50, you're not really losing.

Harp is the best. Wolves, Jade spear and Amos are good if you play an on field dps for those weapons. Skyward blade just sucks, the pipe gives more ER and is free from fishing. Atlas in a post Furina world is actually pretty good and garbage without her.

If i had gotten skyward blade before aquilla i would have never leveled aquilla for Bennett if i already had skyward because the extra attack doesn't seem worth it over the er. But because i got aquilla before it ill never level it because that just means my aquilla goes to no one.

As a F2P, my 3 skyward harps will never be refined and NEVER will be, I use it on Childe, other one with Ganyu, and the other one will be in the corner waiting for Lyney lmao.

I love spine on cyno because it gives a bunch a different stats and he uses them all really well. high base atk is good, er is good because i don't use other electro, atk speed is great, 8% crit rate not bad, and the dmg passive can be consistently used. ik jade is better for him but I don't have it and spine is honestly putting in work.

other than Aquila being too high and Skyward Spine too low, I mostly agree with this one. It's worth mentioning that Skyward Spine performs comparatively better than The Catch in Raiden teams where you don't use Bennett. I mostly play Raiden Taser at this point. But my GOAT is probably Lost Prayers because it's a good stat stick that also feels great in overworld, I'm a simp for anything that lets you go fast.

My first 3 standard weapons were 2 Skyward Harps and an Amos bow. Then I got 2 Lost Prayers. All bows/books and no melee

Kinda disagree, since you get standard weapons by accident, and not by pulling on a banner, I think being better for multiple characters is better than being amazing on one For example, I use 3 teams in my account, only one of them uses Bennet (hypercarry fireworks, spread/agravate tighnari/yaemiko and Phys qiqi furina) Bennett isn't the goat anymore, he is just a xianling free win for xianling teams (and has uses for hypercarries) If I got Aquila, I would actually use it on qiqi over Bennet

Yes it could be a base attack stat stick on one character, but the passive is absolutely useless and it offers no energy. I would much rather use skyward blade on Bennet and take the slight hit to the buff than to use Aquila. Skyward Harp is the best 5 star standard weapon and it's not close. Its usually within the top 5 weapon of all these characters: Ganyu, Fischl, Linney, Kujou Sara, Childe, Yoimiya, Tighnari ect.

Best thing about Skyward Spine is that I can slap it on Shenhe permanently, and I don't have to choose who will get Fav when I want to play freeze team (this is just how I cope with my luck).

I use skyward spine on my freeze team Rosaria, is it considered that bad? I like the extra crit rate, speed up normals for Rosaria and the high base attack.

actually pjws helped me more than aquila favonia to 36* on abyss i used it on raiden and hutao, ive only had 36* after i get pjws and its after the aquila. i think zajeff here is kinda biased here cuz hes really like bennet. pjws really wins i think cuz u can use it on muliple chara even its not the best in slots as f2p that didnt pull that much on weapon banner to got "best in slots weapon".

Most of them are cope now even with Furina`s buff, Marechaussee Hunter and you remove Bennett The Fontaine craftables at R5 are insane and can replace the standard ATK% weapons The 3 crit weapons are good if you get them on accident, but not worth wishing for lol

My only 5 star weapons from standard banner are the one Skyward Atlas I pulled in 1.0 and an r3 Skyward Pride. I got 2 of them in a row, then a Jean and then another Skyward Pride 😂 I hope I can get a Skyward Harp one day 😢

My first 3 standard banner weapons were all skyward spines. I would trade all 3 for a single random other standard weapon.

Should I refine my skyward harp or keep separate? I have 2 harps, R3 Amos, and 2 Elegies for 5 star bows. R5 stringless as well.

Skyward Blade > Aquila Favonia since it gives Bennet pretty decent ATK plus a lot of ER allowing us to get an HP piece to pair Bennet with Furina better and no i refuse to use another healer until an Electro that heals the whole team comes out i might consider it then or why Cloud Retainer depending on her kit and if she buffs my Anemo Main of choice

Bro keeps yapping about fav like everyone has 4+ R5 fav weapons of all kinds. 3 years playing this game and I only have 2 fav lances, which is specially painful considering how many polearm characters actually want fav, SS would do wonders for me really And the downplay of Harp and PJWS is bizzarre considering the crit substats, having a big base atk weapon with crit to help with the rng hell of trying to get crit substat rolls always feels invaluable to me

Skyward blade (used to be benny's until I got aquila, now belongs to Djinn) Aquila (Benny) Skyward Pride (Ella) Skyward spine (Shenhe, fav is limited and more important for other characters)
