1. BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF
So I say to those who aren’t married and to widows - it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am. But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust. 1 Corinthians 7:8, 9 (NLT)
2. BE WISE ABOUT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
Now regarding your question about the young women who are not yet married. I do not have a command from the Lord for them. But the Lord in his mercy has given me wisdom that can be trusted, and I will share it with you. 1 Corinthians 7:25 (NLT)
Because of the present crisis, I think it is best to remain as you are. 1 Corinthians 7:26 (NLT)
If you have a wife, do not seek to end the marriage. If you do not have a wife, do not seek to get married. But if you do get married, it is not a sin. And if a young woman gets married, it is not a sin. However, those who get married at this time will have troubles, and I am trying to spare you those problems. But let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short… 1 Corinthians 7:27-29 (NLT)
3. BE RADICALLY DEVOTED WITH YOUR TIME
I want you to be free from the concerns of this life. An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord’s work and thinking how to please him. But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife. His interests are divided… 1 Corinthians 7:32-34 (NLT)
…In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit. But a married woman has to think about her earthly responsibilities and how to please her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:34 (NLT) I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible. (1 Corinthians 7:35 NLT)
4. BE CONSIDERATE OF YOUR FIANCÉE
But if a man thinks that he’s treating his fiancée improperly and will inevitably give in to his passion, let him marry her as he wishes. It is not a sin. 1 Corinthians 7:36 (NLT)
But if he has decided firmly not to marry and there is no urgency and he can control his passion, he does well not to marry. 1 Corinthians 7:37 (NLT)
So the person who marries his fiancée does well, and the person who doesn’t marry does even better. 1 Corinthians 7:38 (NLT)

This is really helpful content! I've always pursued courtship but the Lord has not made it my time yet. Single or married I'm here to serve God so...no worries! I'm blessed!

Good message, although I think to burn with passion should not be the only reason to want to marry. I thank God for my time with him and pray in this time alone with him every disbalance in my spirit will be visible and wirked out for my greater good, in accordance with this message and romans 8:28 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

What if you are not single by choice? I sinned against my wife and she left me. Now I am single again. The Holy Scriptures teach that if one is not in the covenant of marriage celibacy is required. I actually agree that despite my loss I am far better off being celibate!

The loveliness of being unmarried, but married to Christ is the first thing that must be cherished when it comes to the discernment of a holy marriage consecrated by God. Many do not realize the solemnity of Paul’s letter to Corinth. Many in the last days are called to be blessed by singleness even before Heaven. God forbid, it should be looked upon as loneliness or a blight by His very own people. All were unmarried at one point in our lives, but because of the designs of fallen angels, many resolve that it is something to be remedied above sin itself. This is Satan's world. God will satisfy any void my brother and will lead of you let Him. God bless ❤

The title seemed a little misleading, sermon seemed more on dating and marriage than it did on singleness

Paul says it's better not to marry. Are singles required to marry in the church, or can singles just go to the courthouse and sign the paperwork.

Of course you can go to the courthouse. Church weddings are for the ceremony, but you still need the paperwork too. That's how you are recognized as married...

Is it possible that the church is part of the problem? Some people need help from the church but will never get it ! I know just keep preaching with no actual help.
