You forgot to mention that dark/brownish urine could be a sign of liver disease. That's super important for the avid alcohol consumer to know. Get a blood test if your urine is consistantly dark.
Mine turns that colour after a heavy binge and i feel really tired. A few bottles of water and its back to normal. Thats just dehydration i guess but won't be pushing my luck anymore as i don't want it permanently that colour!
Lol I had a bowl of chicken broth soup and then a big bowl of almond milk cereal last night then had a little headache the next day and per has been clear all day I cut back on water.
Seen somewhere, if your body loses 1% of water you feel thirty, whether by exhaling, perspiring or by urinating. Also when you lose blood you need water right away.

Mine is yellow or slightly more yellow, but not amber in the morning when I get up. I take it that it’s normal due to it sitting in your bladder for a good 8 hours. But throughout the day it can fluctuate from light yellow to yellow depending on how I drink throughout the day.
Think I have kidney disease or failure. Going for testing. May be liver or kidneys. Watch for swelling in feet and legs. That kidney or liver failure. Glad I found this. I’ve been looking for information about it.
I find that a lot of times you aren’t dehydrated but not getting enough oxygen. I only drink water when I’m thirsty and it does make sense that it’s less diluted because it’s darker but I wouldn’t see it as a sign for concern cause I feel perfect 👌

I get transparent,light yellow,yellow and amber.nothing else but after I have antibiotics I have extremely dark brown.😥 But it did say it was normal on the prescription bottle soooo.. yeah.
Question: my urine was just transparent when I went. But in the morning it’s dark yellow. I take a medication late at night (it’s high in sodium). I also have severe dry mouth in the morning. So should I just drink water first thing and chug it all day too?
Urine that sits in the bladder all night tends to "concentrate", that is it collects all the proteins and minerals from whatever you drink during the day, and it shows up during a morning pee. You can still be considered perfectly hydrated if the only time your pee is yellow is during the morning. I've been drinking mostly water for two months but I still get yellower pee when I first wake up.
Thanks for the help! I noticed that my urine is white and I also noticed that it's very sticky and it felt pretty good when peeing it. Now I know that I'm just drinking too much water.
