During the last ice age, not only was a large portion of land covered in ice, but a large portion of the rest of the world changed into desert. Warmer planet = more evaporation leading to more rain. Colder planet = less evaporation leading to less rain.

I'm one of the extreme believers that weather is now controlled by government. Climate change is big business. Sales of wind turbines and solar panels. Wind turbines can create power but when there is no wind they need to keep rotating otherwise we would know they are not working up to their promise. They have to switch to electricity to keep rotating. Imagine owning land and promised $100 000 per windmill on your land? However that same individual windmill is costing $1M to build out of electricity bills. I moved to a wind farm area and my power bill doubled. It tripled again now they politely ask me to pay more by August. If wind and solar is free Who am I paying?

The concern I have is the definition of "drought". Everything in nature is in cycles and waves, including rainfall. Here in CA, the lefties call anything less than average annual rainfall a "drought". So if we get 80 or 90 percent of avg annual rainfall, we are in a "drought". The real problem is there are too many water gobbling ag industries who accept no responsibility for excess water use.

If you look at a photograph of Miami Beach in 1930 you'll be lucky to see a 5 story building. There wasn't much for a hurricane to destroy. Today the coast is lined with 75 story condos. There is simply vastly more expensive infrastructure for a hurricane to destroy. This is called the "bullseye effect". More people live in Dade and Broward County today than lived on the entire southern coast of the US in 1900.

For the last 26 years, I have lived within sight of the Sweetwater Reservoir in Spring Valley CA. The last two years have been the highest level since I've lived here. All the way to the limit. Usually the level drops significantly by midsummer. Tomorrow is August 1st, and the level is still at the high-water limit. I've never seen that before.

We are having a pretty moderate drought in Pennsylvania. I tried to google what weather pattern is causing the lack of rain. All I could find was heat and climate change was causing it. I’m so sick of the BS. The alarmist tools seem to conveniently forget any and all prior droughts. 1988 was a horrible drought for a good part of the country including Pa. And that’s just 1 example.

When was the climate completely linear and predictable.Today we completely lack variety in the weather, everything that happens is because of climate change, even when the toilet overflows, it is because of climate change.But it is about a belief and conviction, a form of religion, and that was probably why Greta received an honorary title of Doctor of Theology.

@@klimatbluffen "The 1930s were the warmest period since the Little Ice Age ended". Here is how denier sites/blogs fool you. They post newspaper articles about past localized heat waves like the 1930's. It's called cherry-picking. The 1930’s were very hot years in the United States. However, global warming takes into account temperatures over the entire planet, including the oceans. The land area of the U.S. accounts for only 2% of Earth's total surface area. Despite the U.S. sweltering in the 30’s, those years were not especially hot over the rest of the planet. Globally, 1930 temperatures were actually cooler than average for the 20th century. Since 2000, the number and duration of droughts has risen 29% From 1970 to 2019, weather, climate, and water hazards accounted for 50% of disasters and 45% of disaster-related deaths, mostly in developing countries.May 11, 2022
@anthonymorris5084
@anthonymorris5084 2 месяца назад
You're confusing warming with over population. Your 29% rise in number and duration is a fallacy. More people use more water. People are depleting their resources. Deaths from natural disasters including all climate related disasters have been in precipitous decline for a hundred years. Over population especially in developing nations has caused resource depletion, deforestation, plant and animal habitat destruction, and famine. (which is caused by people not weather)
@spacescatatford
@spacescatatford 2 месяца назад
@@anthonymorris5084 "Your 29% rise in number and duration is a fallacy. More people use more water" Unfortunately, that is not the case. the Southwest United States is a perfect example. The cattle herd has shrunk to 1951 levels because there isn't any rain, not because there are more cattle. That's what happens when you put CO2 and CH4 into the atmosphere. Those gases redirect infrared photons back to Earth's surface causing an increase in evaporation. Those gases also transmit the infrared photons to N2 and O2 by mechanical means heating the atmosphere. A warmer atmosphere is able to retain a higher concentration of water vapor decreasing rainfall and cloud formation. This is most prevalent at the equator. The US's dry line used to be at the 100th meridian. Now it is at the 98th meridian heading east at about 100 miles per year.
@anthonymorris5084

@@spacescatatford The IPCC disagrees with you. Our World in Data disagrees with you. You've even demonstrated your contradiction. *"The cattle herd has shrunk to 1951 levels because there isn't any rain,"* So it was just as bad in 1951? It was far worse in the 1930's. Even if true you're willfully citing the negative and not citing the positive. Countless thousands of plants and animals are enjoying habitat expansion for the first time in modern history all due to warming. People shouldn't be farming in a desert environment of the South West. It's barren.

@@anthonymorris5084As a former small cattle raiser I'll add the big increase in feed costs due mainly to using corn to make auto fuel instead of feed is a factor in reduction of cattle herds. I used to by cracked corn for $5 for 50# . Now you're lucky to find it for $11-50#. Time you add the other things to make a balanced feed, minerals etc., you barely make any profit. Now that the IRS has cut most deductions for small producers they're selling out in droves. ( pun intended.)
@spacescatatford
@spacescatatford 2 месяца назад
@@anthonymorris5084 "Our World in Data disagrees with you" Give me a website. "So it was just as bad in 1951?" Cattle herds were smaller due to demand. "Countless thousands of plants and animals are enjoying habitat expansion for the first time in modern history all due to warming. " Monitored populations of vertebrates (mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish) have seen a devastating 69% drop on average since 1970. "People shouldn't be farming in a desert environment of the South West. It's barren" It hadn't been in the past. Drought kills animal populations. The human population will continue to grow due to renewable production. On the mean, it would take about 6 years and 7 months to pay off the initial costs to manufacture and install a windmill. Afterward, on average, the windmill will generate electricity freely for another 19 years.

He's not hard to find. I feel bad that you don't understand the short comings of what you are passing off as real science. Many factors are excluded when corporate science is calculated. Those excluded factors are the difference between half truths and whole truths. It honestly matters, pun intended. Give it some thought.
