@@bunsenhoneydew6551i was pissed on him bc he replaced daniel. But i think i like him now more than Daniel. In terms of driving. In terms of vibe i will give him 1 more year. But he is one of my favorites now.
P1 making moves, Monaco race, Charles and Carlos video, Ocon video, Now a Piastri video, soon they will be on F1 official as outsourced media, awesome guys!
Getting out of Alpine was the best thing that Piastri could have done. He's flourishing at McLaren and I genuinely believe he's a champion in the making.
Piastri may be the hottest talent to hit the grid since Max. Can he be at Max level? Not yet, but Max wasn’t at Max’ level when he joined yet either but the potential was glaring. Which brings McLaren to a problem…can they hold on to TWO hot talents without producing a car that can bring them results as drivers?
@mamavswild Indeed, I also think that Oscar could be the only guy to beat Max in a season as of 2023. Max is on another level for a long time already and he is just getting better and better. I don't think it will change until 2026. Oscar seems very promising to reach that level. One lap speed is there. He needs to improve his racecraft and technical knowledge, and he needs to learn these Pirelli tyres better. Other drivers already have lots of experience with these tyres. That is why it must be harder for rookies to get that skill. If Pirelli stops supplying tyres for F1, then, it can be a fresh start for all drivers and the balance could switch.
Six months ago Matt and Tommy were asking, What is P1. Now they're at the Woking factory asking Oscar his favorite pastry. You guys are amazing at what you do and I can't wait to see what the next six years brings.
Pastry is the only driver I can see right now who can pull off being fierce while at the same time remaining relatable. A lot of drivers can only do one or the other well, but Oscar he truly has everything.
This guy is such a vibe , so chill but funny at the same time . Als his driving is quite insane for a rookie , hope he keeps improving like he does at the moment. Would be cool to see someone challenge Verstappen .
Really getting to like Oscar more and more. Calm and collected on the track, also a very fast and intelligent racing driver. Off the track he's genuinely funny and seems like a very nice guy. Can't wait to seem him in a race winning car. It'll be exciting.
I was lucky enough to meet Oscar this year and I am still so happy and thankful, that he actually took some time to talk to me :) Such a nice and calm character and obviously an incredible driver as well :)
Watching the recent F1 video about drivers ages, I took a look at Piastri's birthdate and was gobsmacked to find that he was born A MONTH AFTER ALONSO MADE HIS DEBUT IN MELBOURNE 2001! And now he's racing Alonso!
Oscar seems to be way more in control & focused than most other rookies, like Max, racing-mature as you will. It looks like he definitely got what it takes to be a WC in the right car... Oh, and an allround awesome guy too !
Although the Dutch national color is orange, and all Max fans wear orange T-shirts and light orange flares, the colors of the flag actually are red, white and blue.
This young man has such a cool vibe! Both youthful and mature, humorous and earnest at the same time. I will root for him, I hope he gets a permanent seat in 2024.
Love this dude. Super chill, super fast and definitely an Aussie. Plus he went to my school for a little while whilst he was in his junior car career in Europe, sadly several decades after me!
It baffles me every time how well rounded and intelligent Oscar sounds without being posh. Not gonna lie, this guy has grown on me massively. Always liked Aussies because they are the No BS, friendly, don't mind me, happy to still be alive kind of people that always seem to gel quite nicely with us Belgians. Stop calling him Oscar Pastry btw, better call him something like "THE AUSSASSIN" because he is going to take some names. Guaranteed
Great interview, Piastri seems like a nice guy and this interview seems like more proof. This is one of my favorite sesions as my favorite team has my two favorite drivers in. The car is getting quicker and Lando and Oscor make a good team and work well together. Hope to see more podiums and quick laps.
I like nearly every driver that is and was on the grid. My favourite one is Max but if he retires it would easily be Oscar. He seems so nice and chill even on the radio
I love your channel. It’s such a fan centric show. Love it being about the fact that we all fans and not pretend pundits who can pretend to see the future
So true about the red flag rule! I didn't know other series had it different from F1 but I personally also came up with the context that the driver qualifying well and causing a red flag should be punished by at least getting his lap time deleted or moved to the end of the grid or at least to the end of that particular part of qualifying where he failed. This would really make it more fair without ANY DISADVANTAGES
@@hugofernandez3845 He, along with oscar, has had the least crashes as a rookie in about a decade. He also had 3 almost points finishes, and often beaten the likes of magnussen, zhou, bottas and de vries. All of whom has better cars and more experienced. I know your kind, you just hate him because, but his rookie season is better than zhous, russells, latifis, mick schumachers, all of whom got a second year, and one of whom is now driving for mercedes. Stay mad, he is here to stay.
OMG I’m now a huge Oscar fan. He’s got the best personality. And again these questions were clever, different and excellent. Thanks to those who sent them in. Never saw the jet pack man video. When/where was that? How can I see it?
Missed the opportunity of a lifetime in that interview, when Matt asked the Eau Rouge question Pastry should have just said "That's radillion actually".
Although the Dutch national color is orange, and all Max fans wear orange T-shirts and light orange flares, the colors of the flag actually are red, white and blue.
Obviously I’m not an f1 driver but for the sprint podium if I finished p3 I think I would consider that just qualifying well, I feel like some drivers might just treat it like that
I remember thebinitial reaction to the alpine things was nehative for oscar and hes made a bad forst imoression in f1 Couldn't be udrther from the case i think hes been fantastic he seems like a really nice guy and wanted to protect his future and go to a team that was moving forwards
He just wanted to race and who could blame him, I don't like Otmar bad mouthing him when he knew full well that he wasn't going to sign him the next year, I believe Piastri was in the right and he's more mature than a 40 year old, hell even Carlos Sainz lost some respect from me after his comments at Spa. He made a mistake and blamed the Rookie. I think people are jelous because Oscar is being touted as one of the best rookies ever and they've taken years to even be considered near the front of the grid.
great intro. It set up moments to look forward too without totally spoiling them. too many people put in the full clip in and ruins the moment when it actually happens in the video.
