We have gotten endless requests to do the “what the fluff challenge” and we finally tried it today! So here it is!
His reaction had me cracking up around the corner 😂.
I really wasn’t expecting him to be so surprised.
Mom won’t disappear behind blankets anymore 😉. Lol

❗️❗️❗️85% of parrots are either resold, given away, or abandoned within just 2 short years of being purchased. ADOPT DONT SHOP! Rescues are full of these wonderful birds, neglected, abandoned, and thrown out by inexperienced and most uneducated people that didn't know the kind of work and commitment it takes to have birds. STOP UNNECESSARY BIRD BREEDING FOR PROFIT, and help these magnificent creatures.
If you are unable to adopt then please consider donating to a rescue/sanctuary that volunteers their time to help these animals in need. 💚
I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds. ❗️No two parrots are alike...
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
So if you are interested in a parrot, please research, volunteer at a parrot rescue/sanctuary, KNOW what you're getting yourself into before you take on the work that comes with loving and homing a parrot.
Parrots are a LIFETIME commitment. They can live up to 80+ years!!
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots the best life they can possibly have! (Night out, gone on weekends, vacation time, a clean quiet house, extra money.. Etc.)
But to me it's all worth it, my parrots are my family and I love them like my children!
Please DO YOUR RESEARCH before adopting.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies...
They only have us💗❗️❗️

@@iisabxlla Do you spend time with your birds and teach them things? The humans in these videos spend a whole lot of time training and teaching their birds to talk, sing, do tricks, etc.

This may be a first for “blanket disappearing magic trick” but it’s not the first time Gotcha and I have played “where did mom go?!” Games. We play hide and seek or “find the ghost” (a game where you hide then, “BOO” when the seeker finds you) - In case you didn’t know what that was- ALL the time! 😊 This is harmless, and is not an act of cruelty (I say that due to comments left all over by a very negative individual who has now been blocked and comments removed 😊) and all of you that KNOW us and know I love this bird with all my soul know that I would never do anything to harm him. We play games and have fun and shout and yell and holler at one another all the time! I’m not going to play this game with him like I play the others, it was a one time try and I was curious to know his reaction like many of you did as well. He is perfectly normal btw 😉 happy and healthy and not “traumatized for life and stressed beyond belief”. Some people really need to find a hobby... 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol! Anyways! I love sharing little moments with you all but I love enjoying moments without a camera involved as well, I so appreciate your understanding when sometimes it takes awhile between uploads. WE LOVE YOU and THANKYOU for loving us!! 💜💗 😘😘😘

Gotcha The Cockatoo I'm relatively new to your vids, and even I know that the last thing you'd dream of doing, is anything to harm him. Thanks for my latest Gotcha fix - he's one in a million! Hope you and your family are well! I tell you - there's no more soothing sound on the planet than when he says "I gotchu.. I have been watching Gotcha, Katie, her husband, mom, dad & Oliver, & all the other pets. The love & dedication to each other is amazing & so very special to watch. It warms my heart to see how happy & content Gotcha & Ollie are. Everyone on these videos are so happy & loving & I adore watching y'all. As for negative & nasty comments, unfortunately there's always someone who must be so unhappy they try & make everyone else miserable like them. However watching these videos the only feelings I feel are love, happiness & wonderful memories since I subscribed here years ago. Gotcha The Cockatoo I NEVER leave comments etc mainly because I use my husbands account on here but after reading this I just had 2 reach out! 1st I've only recently come across gotcha & you a few months ago & my husband & I were dealing with life shattering events at the time & I know sounds silly 2 people but your videos truly helped me survive some days! It blows my mind ANYONE could think let alone leave nasty comments! Any animal would be lucky 2 have u as a mommy! I play find mommy & similar games with my babies & they LOVE it! I've NEVER seen ANYTHING you've done or said remotely abusive physically, mentally or emotionally! Glad you just deleted & blocked & moved on! I hope you never let any of those people get you down or question yourself! Just remember all the people here who love & NEED some Gotcha in their lives! I apologize 4 the novel & don't expect a response (especially with the hundreds of comments already here!😊) but I just got so heated reading that some1 was so rude/upsetting that you needed 2 block them!!! You Know what, I was wondering what he was doing trying to get under the blanket, then it hit me near the end of the video. He was trying to do what you did, because he kept going down the hall afterwards, So clever is that bird. He might as have been upset at first at your disappearance, but when he figured it out, well he wanted to play too.

Kay spence lighten up, it is harmless. I love and care for this bird like he’s my own child. We wanted to have a little fun. Funny thing is, when he IS in distress or afraid he makes calls much different than this, he whistles very loudly like an alarm, and paces back and forth from one foot to another. He has done this for example, when we’re outside in his harness and I need to run inside to grab something and he can’t see me for a few seconds. But I always come right back to him as quickly as I’m able. Cockatoo’s are loud all the time, period. Yelling and shouting just because they can! They’re very dramatic loves, ask anyone, this doesn’t mean they are distressed.

As I was watching this my bird (a cockatoo as well) came over to see what was up and then proceeded to start mimicking gotcha and screaming in my ears🤣🤣🤣 I love him so much and he loves me back (or so it seems lol) ps. He is so smart. I am one of those softies that cringes when the pet really wonders where their human has gone, but I really think he was trying to play the same trick on you! Lifting and covering up w the blanket then going down the hallway! That bird knew what he was doing! What a cutiepie! I love how you love him!

I love how the truly loved/loving pets in this old trick have the same initial reaction of ‘panic!!’ My magpie, Tikka, started screaming ‘NO!’ as loud as he could. And punched me when I came back into the room. He was not happy with this trick.
